Once you start using a heated mouse, it's hard to go back to a normal mouse. It cures "mouse hand" when your hand gets cold from being extended away from your body for long periods at work. I got it because my office is generally chilly year round and I would dread having to meet a client or colleague from another office because I would have to shake their hand. There is solid science about the effects of a cold vs. a warm handshake on giving a favorable impression. This mouse is the key to comfort and success! One great feature that this model has that others don't is that there are two temperature settings. If I'm particularly cold I bump it up to high, on moderate days I leave it at low. A couple of other features: it heats up quite fast, and the tracking precision is great, easily compares to your typical office mouse. It's also worth mentioning that the seller is extremely responsive if you have any questions or need any help. I got this mouse in mid-November and loved the relief of some extra warmth... until last week when the heat stopped working. For reference, I have used it probably 10 hours per day but I power down over nights and weekends, so it has had those down times. Since the heat stopped, I’ve unplugged, turned off/on, you name it, but it is only putting out a very feeble amount of heat (if any, I suppose it is possible that my hand is actually heating the mouse.). So it had a useful life of 4 months. That doesn’t seem reasonable to me. Three stars because it was great while it lasted. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heaven! I'm in heaven! One of the offices I sit in half the time is always cold, so when I saw this I just had to try it out. When I first plugged it in, it took maybe 2-5 minutes to heat up and for those 2-5 minutes I wasn't sure if it was gong to work. But it did warm up - and now is really wonderfully warm. So much so that I'm seriously considering getting a second one to keep in my travel computer bag so that I always have one with me. That said, the 'wings' on the top of it look a little too flexible / flimsy. I'll keep it in a box or pouch or something in my brief case so it doesn't accidentally break. The controls for high - low- and off are on the underside and easy to switch between levels.
