The nice thing about these modems is that you can run them without a battery: Plugged into the wall, or a portable power source that has usb ports. Even the cigarette lighter / ports in the vehicle. Unfortunately, the batteries swell if you leave them in all the time, and plugged into the wall. I have ATT so I am happy with these modems. Rarely had issues. Review: Works, still ATT firmware and att updates it - Yes its unlocked, yes it worked with verizon. Problem is, i expected it to be original netgear branded firmware. Its still ATT firmware. That said, it works. But many features that are netgear only are inaccessible.
