Its no-tool flip-up tab enables fast camera attachment, while its sturdy plastic construction offers a snug, secure fit with easy customization options for legacy equipment. ## Description Giottos 6E01 Spare Quick Release Plate for VT806, VT808, VT809, and MV825 Monopod Review: This plate fits the Sony VCT-R630 RM tripod - I bought this (Giottos 6E01) to replace a cracked/abused plate on a used Sony VCT-R630 RM tripod that fell into my hands in a "package deal". Original plates for this discontinued tripod are long gone, and I couldn't find a recommended replacement online. I went from published dimensions to try this one and it fits pretty darn well. It is a little "snug" going in, and the locking lever only swings closed about 1/2 of the way - a little further to snug it up tight (with the original, the lever swings 80% closed under spring pressure, and locks tightly when gently pressed all the way closed). It seems to be made of plastic and rubber, but appears stoutly built. It has a flip-up finger tab on the base of the screw, allowing "no-tool" installation onto the camera. I also tried the Giottos MH 620 plate and it fits well too (maybe just a little less snug, but very similar). The 6E01 is very close to the form factor of the original plate (broader/longer top of almost exactly the same shape), while the MH 620 (which has a cast metal body) has a small top covered with a rubber pad. The MH 620 has much less contact area to the bottom of the camera - though you'll find that this doesn't matter much due to the slight flexibility of the the 6E01. Due to the way the VCT-R630 RM tripod accepts the quick-release plate, you might (might, I say) have trouble with these plates attached to some large cameras (the plate kind of slips in tipped, under an angled guide on one side of the "receiver" hole). If so, a small amount of trimming would fix that - which would be easier on the 6E01, since it seems to be plastic, not metal. (You could probably get away with a little judicious trimming on the tripod side as an alternative, if this is an issue.) Review: It fits Sunpak Quantaray QSX 9502TM - It DOES fit Sunpak Quantaray QSX 9502TM !! It seems slightly larger than the original in the wedge (maybe 0.1 in to 0.2 in) and should be filed down a little for an exact fit but will work right out of the package! One for Kalimar (Giottos 6E01) is 42mm by 41mm bottom and 34mm by 33mm just under the section that supports the camera. The one for the Vivitar vpt-120se (QB-4W) is 44mm by 44mm and 35mm by 35mm just under the section that supports the camera. I used a caliper to measure this. Both are wider at the bottom and narrow towards the top so when you push in the release it will grab and hold the quick release connected to the camera. Since you didn't say which quick release I measured both. Tight no wiggle. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits Vivitar V3000 Tripod *by R***G on July 28, 2018* I bought this for a Vivitar V3000. It fits perfectly! The original Vivitar release plate was sliglty loose when I used the tripod for a laser level and I had to put a thin piece of plastic in the tripod to get a firm fit. This locks up tight with a level. The platform is square and 1/2" smaller in both directions. It fits nicely on a camera and is compact enough that it can be left on the camera all of the time. The V3000 tripod was designed for large video cameras and is probably why the original plate is so large.
