Friends: The Complete Series (Repackaged/Blu-ray): The ultimate collector set features over 110 hours of content (90 hours of features and 20 hours of bonus content). All 236 original broadcast episodes (released for the 1st time in the US) Highly Collectible Premium Packaging Lenticular Box Cover Hard-cover book that holds 21 discs 32-page episode guide with content from the Warner Bros. archives. Review: Terrific Quality Production of "Friends" - First and most important, the video of this entire series is luxurious, gorgeous. The colors are deep, rich, and beautifully saturated. The quality is fantastic. Second, the video is not in the original full screen 4:3 ratio, but instead in the more common wide screen 16:9 that we are used to now. It is NOT letterboxed but instead reveals for the first time the full video that they captured at the time, apparently thinking forward to the time when 16:9 would be the standard. Some complain by saying that video at the edges are too revealing, but I watched both versions of the disputed scenes and found no problems with them. As for the audio, it is 5.1 throughout. It might have been nice to suppress the audience laugh track, but it did not really detract from the viewing experience. Still, the quality was high throughout the series. The packaging is not cheap even though they aggregated all of the Blu-rays into two sets of 20 discs (plus the bonus disc). Each season is packaged on two Blu-rays, and each disc typically had a couple of commentaries, with the second disc containing extras like gag reals. The bonus disc included more gag reels and some retrospective videos along with interviews on TV shows. Now my confession: I never saw a single episode of this series prior to now. Not one. I got this set so that I might fill in some of the cultural references that I missed out on at the time. I certainly got those, like "taking a break," but also grew to appreciate the show as the years advanced. I thought that the last three years became funnier over time and truly appreciate the jokes and characters, especially the Joey reactions and Phoebe proclamations. Altogether, it was a wonderful series. Review: Review of the 4K Ultra HD release - Dang, 190$ bones was a lot to drop on a set of a TV show that isn't even my favorite, but i love Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc. I didn't own the show yet so i decided to go whole hog on it and i am glad i did. This is not a review of the show but the quality of the 4K release, specifically. To start off, the actual packaging is delightfully slimmed down so two seasons are in each separate case and it is so much better this way to reduce clutter. There is a separate standard blu ray case with two full discs of additional bonus features, and an included booklet with an episode listing for all the discs and chapters for the bonus discs. Now for the real wow part to me-the video quality of the show itself. It does not use DolbyVision, however, they are in HDR and i must say, for a relatively older show, WB clearly gave love to one of their most popular series. The colors and sharpness even in the early seasons are instantly noticeable and gorgeous! Fantastic job, i must say, as a techy kind of guy who has a large physical media collection, this is one of the best looking TV shows out there, even going against something newer like Better Call Saul. The other wonderful part of this set, is that unlike a lot of 4K discs, you can stop this, turn off the player, and come back to it later. It instantly pops up with a "Resume where you left off" button! Yay! No trying to fast forward to where i was before. Great stuff. Ultimately, if you are a Friends fan, this is the best possible set for you but that price is kind of ridiculous, even though it is well made. Also, if you already own the DVDs or Blu Ray releases, this becomes less palatable. It really is a beautiful release though.

Worth every penny
I'm 40 and had never watched FRIENDS until a year ago on HBO MAX. I mean I had seen a few episodes here and there as a teenager because my best friend's parents were obsessed with it and never missed an episode but that's it. I was one of those teenagers who was against anything super popular and mainstream (why? No idea. I think that was just a 90s "cool" thing?). My husband was the same way and had actually never seen a single episode. WELL, boy were we missing out! We both were absolutely hooked pretty much from the very first episode to the very last. When I decided to watch the series for a second time I didn't want to deal with commercials so I went ahead and splurged on this box set. I'm so glad I did. I'm currently on my 4th rewatch and it's now my all time favorite sitcom. Every character is so funny and so lovable, this show makes me laugh even when I'm in the worst of moods. It's also the only sitcom I have ever seen that is perfect from the very first season. I find most sitcoms to be pretty cringe worthy during at least the first half of the first season but not with FRIENDS. If you thought you were too cool to watch it (like I did when it was originally on the air) then think again and give it a shot. You'll probably love it (I mean the fashion and nostalgia of the 90s and early 2000s alone makes me really happy) I'm so happy I gave it a chance! About time.

Your Own Personal Selection of Friends to play anytime
This is a complete series of the Friends 10-year run on TV. There's a few extra outakes and add-ons that are interesting. I was not a TV watcher until my husband passed and I wanted something funny to watch. I found video snippets on Facebook and decided to tune in (HBO runs this series now). It's nice to have my own set of the series

I'll be there for you
Love this show. So light-hearted and funny. It can always give me a laugh when I'm in a bad mood. Good story line and you can easily relate to the characters. Glad everything comes in the same case and is well organized. Happy Anniversary!

Steady entertainment
Bought this series (my all time favorite) a year or two ago. Still enjoying. Watch regularly. I don't have cable & can't afford movie subscriptions. I have a dvd player n about twenty movies I watch over n over lol 🙈 (only problem I have had is getting the disc out of their spot. The holder for each disc keeps them in place so tightly making it a struggle to pop the disc out)

Fantastic series
This is a 5-star show! The lower rating is because of the case, which is cheaply made and deserves 3 stars at best. The disks are difficult to remove without practically bending them. The prongs holding the disk centers are such brittle plastic they don't release easily. A few have broken already and the spine of one the the pages holding 4 disks arrived broken so it fall out of the "book" of DVDs. This set was priced low enough that it is still worth the savings. It also came with a relatively thick booklet loaded with images from the show etc., which is really cool, but oddly enough it was included outside the box sleeve because the sleeve is too narrow to fit it inside with the 2 "books" of DVD's. Hmmm.
