Perfect for pottery dipping glaze
I use this for testing my pottery glazes and it works perfect. I wish they would make a mini version so I can use on my smaller containers of glaze. But for my dipping glazes it works great.

Easy to read For fluids heavier than water Floats well, stable Very useful product Not for beer/wine making Not so easy to find in listings which are dominated by alcohol making hydrometers

A little off.
A little off. Roll of paper inside glass tube. Tested this in a bucket of tap water around 70f. Reads sg 0.99. Silly sg has 3 decimal places when the resolution is 2 decimal places. That's why I give 2 instead of 3 stars.
