This is not shape wear, couldn’t even get it over my head. The elastic has no give in it what so ever - it’s going straight back … who actually governs this rubbish ?

Fit and sizing were as described on the listing, so no issues there. I have mixed feelings about this. The material itself feels nice to the touch, and it does hold things in a little. That said, I would not really call this proper shapewear. What it does do well is sit less obviously under dresses compared to some other shaping underwear, which is a plus. Comfort is where it really falls down for me. For some reason it makes my skin itch badly. I do not know if it is the mesh, the cut, or something in the fabric, but it is really quite uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. I also struggled to get the bottom of the slip to sit correctly. The material tends to bunch up a bit. It is better once you have a dress over the top, but it is still not perfect. The listing says this can be worn on its own and not just as an undergarment. I would not recommend that at all. For me, it only works as something worn under a dress, and even then comfort is an issue. Nice idea and decent material, but not something I would personally reach for again.

This shapewear slip dress tries to smooth and support the body, but in my experience, it doesn’t stay in place. After a few steps, it tends to ride up, which makes it uncomfortable to wear under a dress for long periods or while moving around. It provides some shaping, but it doesn’t fully hold everything in place as expected, and constant adjustment would be needed. For me, it wasn’t practical or comfortable to wear.
