My doggies pads on her paws were very dried out from the salt and snow. This helped immensely to moisten her pads and keep them nice. My girl seemed very happy to have it on there. She didn't even try to lick it off. She is a 12 year old service dog and it was -10 here the other day! This stuff is nice, it's a tube around the size of a chapstick, a bit wider. It's great for applying to her feet. I keep it in my coat. It smells good and works good on her pads. My Phoebe is 12 years old and deserves to be taken care of the best for what she does for me! We will use this a lot for her pads on her paws.

Bought this product hoping to smooth out our dog Ziggi's very rough paws. The product does seem to work very well. We put it on Ziggi before we went for an evening walk and much to my families surprise the next day his paws were noticeably softer and smoother! Now the bad. We have an awful time trying to get this product on him to begin with. Everytime we try to put it on he thinks we're playing or tried to just lick it off our hands. Hopefully we'll be able to curve this behavior and will have more luck in the future with applying the balm. The actual size of the balm. (Granted this one is my fault I did not pay attention to the actual size in the description but I expected something larger.) The product looks like a small tube of chapstick. You do not need a lot of balm to see results so I imagine this size will last for awhile. I just thought we'd be receiving a larger size. All in all if your doggo has no problem with you touching their paws I'd recommend it.

This is very small “sample”. I used this twice before I ran out. My boy isn’t tall but he’s got big feet!! I didn’t want to buy anything larger before I knew how my dog would react to it. He’s a Bulldog and his feet are huge, the size of the palm of my hand !!! BUT……it was enough for me to test his response to putting it on his paws…….he never knew the difference. He walked on Iowan winter streets without any issues. It really protected his paws from getting abused by all the chemicals used on the streets. I bought the larger stick roll product after testing him. He doesn’t lick his paws after I put it on. I do use it after we come back from our walks. The bee’s wax provides great protection.

I live in Florida, and there are only about 12 days a year that the pavement, or pretty much any exposed surface, won’t be 100+ degrees at some point in the day. I have shoes for my dog for times that she’ll be walking around outdoors for extended periods of time, but I was looking for a solution for short, but still potentially painful distances for her to walk, like parking lots. I wanted something that would protect her for those short distances, when putting on her shoes, (which she hates) isn’t logistically practical. While I don’t have a scientific way of confirming this, I have applied the paw balm to her (on multiple occasions) right before leaving the house, and after a short drive, when walking her from the car, into a store or park, she didn’t appear to have any discomfort. Granted, we move at a quick pace, and my girl is a trooper, so maybe she just wasn’t showing signs of distress, but it really didn’t seem to bother her. However, and this is just my option, I don’t see how, given the very thin layer of protection, that this would be a viable solution for anything other than a Very limited time on a hot surface. Some reviewers mention that their dogs try licking it off after application, but mine doesn’t show much interest in it. Its not that hard to apply, but be prepared that if you do so at home, or in a car, it does leave a little bit of visible, greasy feeling residue on hard surfaces and smooth fabric. I bought the 0.15 trial stick, which is very small, and somewhat expensive for the amount, however, they do make it very clear that this is a small trail size. In the end, I don’t know if this really works, but you do get more applications than you’d expect, and even if it only provides just marginal protection and comfort for my dog, the price is worth it. Giving this a product 3 stars because it has, in my option, pretty limited effectiveness when it comes to heat protection, which was the purpose for my purchase.

I didn’t realize I got the travel size stick but it’s for a chihuahua so that’s perfect! Seems like a good protectant against the cold for her paws.

Nice foot balm for puppy's

Our 18 month old staffy cross has had dry paws and she was licking at them constantly. Until I came across this company.... Within 1 Day of using it her paws are soo smooth and she is much happier. When I say this is tiny I’m not joking it’s smaller than a tube of lipstick. It also didn’t work on my dogs paws, he licked it all off then grabbed the tube and destroyed it within seconds. Total waste of money.
