I ordered another one. No tools needed, the cover slides out and back in. It fits the 2.5" drives very tightly, which is both good and bad. Good in that the drive has zero room to move around, bad in the sense that it might take you 2-3 times to attach the drive correctly. Also the cover itself is very tight.The material is plastic and there's no cover/pouch, only a cellophane. You have to really take care of this when you move it around. It comes with a short, but adequate, USB cable.Now the performance, I connected it to a Win 7 USB 2 laptop, it was recognized right away. In seconds I was copying folders of mixed data (photos, videos, text files) to the laptop at 5-15 MB per second, which for USB 2.0 is pretty good. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars No Instructions But Easy To Assemble *by O***T on Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2019* Works perfectly and is inexpensive. There are no assembly instructions but it was pretty easy to figure out. The supplied connector board only fits one way on the drive, and the orientation of the drive into the bottom case is obvious since the USB-C connector has to line up with the access hole. There are (4) screws, (4) rubber caps, and a screwdriver supplied in the package. The screws simply screw into the drive's top mounting holes and are then covered with the rubber caps. These effectively take up the extra space in the case, and prevent the drive from rattling around when the top cover is snapped on. As others have said, the cable provided is USB-C on one end, but the old style USB-A on the other. No big deal, but keep in mind that if you plan on hooking this up to a USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 port you will need a different cable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Rarely needed. Switch HDD to SSD for laptop. *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2019* I used it clone SSD and when done, switch HDD to SSD laptop computer and stored old HDD. It started clone as fast (112.94 MB/s) but at end slowed at (55.63). 2.5" size is fine, but weak and light in side. The best about it; price. $7. It work but it was only one project.
