Black Hawk Down (Steelbook)

I am a fan of Sir Ridley Scott movies(except for alien) .I think he Potrays Story in a compelling and in a unique Visual style and culture of the people. Black Hawk down shows the true life event in the battle of Mogadishu were the USA forces Have to caputure a somalian warlord.The movie shows the Poverty and Famine of the civil war.The warlords kill innocent people and have become savages.The USA forces intervene with there Operation. The movies shows the loss of lifes of soldier comrades and war and survival.The "black hawk down" helicopters are very stunning helicopters in the movie and when one of them is shot down the comrades have to protect there fallen men. Black Hawk down has some very good Cinematrography and shot taken led by Ridley scott. The formation of the helicopters over the somalian beaches and towns and cities is amazing.some will even remember similarity to scotts latest movie "Body of lies". In Black hawk down the colour grading is very strong as you see more of green and blue/yellow cast. This is to give the mood for the movie..This movie is worthy of buying in HD. The bluray was purchased with a decent price in amazon India..however I feel the Film could have had a better transfer...but then again this was not bad but slightly grainy.. There is lot of good actors in this movie Ericbana,josh,orlando bloom and others. The Music by Hans Zimmer is perfect for the atmosphere in this movie along with some other artists.... Amazon delivered fast within 2 days. The movie is a classic based on true events. It is a treat to watch a non-hyped urban warfare movie from the Hollywood. The cinematography, the action sequences, the music and the pace of the entire few days of drama for survival in a alien landscape is amazing... and it's even better when in high definition. The quality of video transfer and the digital soundtrack with bullets whizzing around is quite nice. It gets 5 stars for the storyline, content and quality of production. A must have in your BD collection.

A Ridley Scott mini classic, fast paced. Bought for 300rs.

4:3 print. Bad picture quality. I doubt it is a copy and not original since region settings did not allow India either. Amazon should mention aspect ratio and year of release under product details just like their US counterparts.
