Love this game! It is incredibly fun to play and I love the integration of well known characters and their traits in this version. It's great to play with two players (each playing one or two characters) or a bigger group and can easily be integrated with other editions to play with larger groups or varied combinations of characters. Great deal!

Fun to play

Dice Throne did something interesting by not giving them all individual boxes. Which will be helpful with not having to bend the main board. Fun like other dice throne games. A little harder to get into play as learning the powers. Do like the set that comes with Iceman & Wolverine. Found that one much more fun and easy to figure out the powers. Rogue and Gambit were interesting to use in this one. Jean does become dark phoenix. Do recommend for dice throne collectors.

A game that is easy to pick up but hard to master.

Rogue is one of the best characters yet but she is a little OP with her steal health power. I have 24 characters including all of the Marvel ones and these two X-Men sets are some of our favorites.

The biggest appeal to dice throne was that you could grab a character off the shelf and play with barely any set up. Having the characters here be in this board game format makes the set feel disjointed and also makes storage a pain. Plus having the everything come unassembled feels cheap for no reason. If you're interested in these characters I'd hold off and pre order the x men battle chest instead.

Fun and interesting varied gameplay as with most previous dicethrone iterations. But this boxed set has a different form-factor to all previous dice throne sets and that is a real let-down :-( The main playerboards are not printed doublesided and are not foldable. The resulting shape is the same as when a normal dicethrone board is folded open, but it feels a lot more clunky Each hero cannot be stored in its individual box with its own deck, tokens and dice. Everything is stacked in the one box. It’s just so different. I hope I can find a different version in the future to replace this one.

This is a great game that doesn't take long to pick up. It also has good longevity as each character has different powers that you can use to change game play up. All the pieces are good quality card and look like they will stand up to the test of time. Only criticism is I think I prefer the folded character cards like the duo sets, and the 1st edition set have. It makes the box a bit easier to store.

Awesome expansion for an awesome game, the boards dont fold like the others but that shouldn't be enough to dissuade you from buying it!
