I got the package and opened it and it smells absolutely fantastic. It is very strong so although it is expensive, you do not need to put much in your cooking. It is much better than the liquid vanilla that contains alcohol. I use this in almond milk with some cinnamon and dates. It is also nice to put a tablespoon in my smoothies, such as cherry-vanilla. It enhances whatever it is I am making. I haven't tried any other brands but I don't think I will very happy with this product. Unfortunately, it is packaged on equipment containing ALL allergens (dairy, wheat, soy, peanuts & tree nuts!) Seems a shame to have such a quality product be handled so carelessly. Also, NO RETURNS from this seller...so I guess the dogs will have vanilla added to their food for awhile!
