It's alfalfa.
Germinates well, grows well. Just don't overwater it. It'll wilt and die overnight if you do.

Perfect timing
Though I thought about this too late to really start growing in early June, did take a few weeks to get to me, but well packaged. The first weekend in July I went to a swamp that deer like to go through and planted the seed sparingly in one moist area, and two weekends later, checked my cameras to see what goes through there. Was very surprised to see many half in. high sprouts every where I tossed them, even on old wet logs the sprouts had rooted into.

Shipping very HIGH, Rip-Off
The germination percentage is OK, not outstanding, but I've used other bulk alfalfa with much faster growth and coverage green out. This was for a food plot, and if I had noticed it wasn't "Prime", I wouldn't have been so surprised by the shipping costs ... $20.75/bag for seed, and $18.50 to ship! What a rip-off.
