The original had developed a small pinhole leak at a seam in the plastic in the main body of the filter. The leak was at the area indicated in the picture and it leaked a few gallons per day. This filter was in place at my home when I moved in, so I found a replacement on desertcart and ordered it. I installed the replacement in February of 2022 and it worked fine until July of 2023 when it developed a leak in the exact same spot. This is clearly an issue with the product itself, I would encourage you not to buy it. Additionally, I do not know what the warranty policy is for this product because on the product page it says to message the seller for that information. I have yet to receive a message from the seller in response to my inquiry about the issue. Literally just turn the handle. It's perfect! Love that you don't have to buy monthly filters and helps our secondary cartridge style filters last much longer! I insulate this in the winter and it still doesn’t seem to help.
