Was going to purchase the ICOM speaker/mic for my ICOM 51A handy talkie till I found this one. For the money it is a good value has very good audio quality both on receive and transmit. Has a longer and slightly thicker coiled cord which is good. Transmit indicator is also a plus on the mic. Seems to have a well built plug to use and should give many years of use. I am well pleased with this product

Make sure plug is in tight
So far my only complaint is the plug is tighter than I expect. When plugging it in the first time I thought it was in place but got no sound until I gave it a former push to seat it.

Sent mic back. Sound was terrible. Got OEM ICOM Mic.

Good quality speaker microphone
Excellent audio quality, well built. This microphone would gain from a build-in DTMF encoder - the ICOM ID-51 doesn't make DTMF easy. But that's not a complaint: the price is right.
