IDEAL Electrical 45-092 Stripmaster Wire Stripper for #10 to #22 AWG

These are my favorite types of wire strippers and this one works great!

I have bought several of these. It is well made, and easy to use.

Absolutely the best and fastest way to strip insulation off of wire.

Perfect strips every time, fast and easy to use. I've been building my own wire harnesses for a couple cars I'm building, and this thing has been a life saver. Between this, my Ancor ratchet crimper, some high quality nylon insulated wire terminals, and a basic wire cutter, everything has functioned flawlessly. Not a single bad connection yet. All of my external wiring (engine bay, outside lights, etc) have also received shrink wrap.

Works great and feels robust - still not sure if it's American made or not though, as it's not marked on the tool or the box as such. I had read that Ideal still produces tools made in the USA - maybe this isn't one of them(?) Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.

First pair I got was marked in millimeters. Returned those specifying that they were supposed to be marked in AWG. Got the replacement pair, they were marked in millimeters. I give up.

Excellent value for money. They shouldn’t even sell manual wire strippers anymore.

I am a panel builder and this is the stripper of choice. Very accurate at stripping and leaves all the copper undamaged unlike some strippers I have seen. Very easy to use and last for years even in my work where they are used everyday.
