Yes, you can use the Tagine on an induction hob, but you'd need an induction disc below it (not supplied). Induction hobs work by inducing electrical currents in the bases of metal cookware, but the tagine is entirely ceramic and would not heat up without a disc. From the research I did, the advantage of purchasing this particular brand is that it will cook on a hob as well as in the oven (most other ceramic tagines would crack) but this one is hob and dishwasher safe. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Emile Henry make great products *by C***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 October 2013* We have had this 25cm Tagine's big brother (35cm version) for two months now and love it. It is a great combination of African design and French manufacture. It was quite difficult to discover what size would be appropriate for cooking 2 servings. This 25cm version is it. It is very well designed and fairly heavy, which means that the lid seals in the steam/moisture. Very little liquid is lost even when cooking for 3-4 hours. I was so impressed with its big brother that I bought the 25cm version so I could cook a veggie version of a recipe at the same time as a meaty version. I can't really think of any negatives. The 35cm version takes up quite a bit of space on the cooker and in the cupboard but the 25cm version can be stored inside the 35cm one so we did not have to find additional space for our new friend.
