What size light bulb does it take?

What bulb does everyone use? No matter what bulb I use it sticks out the top. I’m too scared to use it because it’s a fire hazard like that.

I also have this issue with regular bulbs sticking out of the top a lot. I am thinking about trying an S11 night light bulb. I also found that if you put the shade locking ring on first, it props the shade up enough to barely cover the regular size bulb, but it isn’t as safe that way.

Is there a way to get the dents out? I just received it and it arrived with several indentations.....

I don’t know for sure. It may create more if you try. I’d send it back for replacement
