The illustrations are brilliant and my son loved the reflective 'foil' scales on the front cover (doesn't show up in the product photo, but looks great in the flesh) with lots of 'Ooooo' and 'Aaaaahhhh' noises as the light reflects and bounces off. Can't recommend this book enough and we will be looking at buying more of Matt Buckingham's publications and the Bright Stanley series. Review: Bought for grandchild as requested - Bought for 7 year old Grandson but then he didn't want it! We have the 2 other Stanley books and they are well read. Not sure why this one got the cold shoulder! Will try reading with the 3 year old Grandson.

Love it
This is a superb addition to our Bright Stanley collection. My children's ages range from 2 to 8 and they all love them.

Ok story but no sparkles
Good story. Not the best in the series but a worthy addition if you like the others. Disappointed however that the pages in this book were not shiny. In the other books we have the fishes scales are always sparkly however in this one they are not. And overall the illustrations were a lot duller like the printing process was different. Nevertheless it’s a nice story if you like the other Stanley books and the lack of sparkle does not change that, just obviously a cheaper version.

Lovely book for little people
My little boy has this book and absolutely loves it. The bright colours and the illustrations are great.

Great story, puts a smile on my sons face every time we read it together!
Great addition to the Bright Stanley collection, as usual the bright colours and illustrations keep my son very interested in not just hearing the story but talking about the pictures and wanting to read more. My 4 year old loves it and requests to read it over and over again. Dispatch time was also very quick, thanks!
