Which wouldn't be a problem except now you run the risk of putting nails too close to the edge and putting it through into a cubby (as I did). Also, the assembly directions aren't that great. Pieces are labeled in the manual, but there are no stickers or anything on the actual pieces. Since it's simple to assemble and the pieces are mostly unique, it's not a big deal. It’s sturdy, it’s solid! It’s a pain to put together yourself… I’m impatient, what can I say. It was easy to put the outside together but challenging to get the dividers in place due to the length.
