I’ve always been drawn to flashlights—there’s something deeply satisfying about pushing back the darkness and seeing what was previously hiding. Call it practical. Call it poetic. Call it a slippery slope. The HD01 Pro Experience: I own flashlights that cost five times more than the HD01 Pro and proudly do… one thing. They shine forward. That’s it. The HD01 Pro, meanwhile, showed up like, “Oh, you wanted options?” You get: A very bright main emitter A legitimately useful UV light A green laser (because of course) RGB side lighting Glowing button rings with a “breathing” glow mode so you can find it in the dark when it’s off At this point I’m half-expecting it to make coffee. All of this is packed into a ridiculously small form factor, which somehow feels like sorcery. It’s one of those lights that makes you stop and say, “Wait… how did they fit all this in here?” Brand Loyalty (Earned, Not Given): This isn’t my first Wurkkos. I previously owned the original HD01 (no UV), and it lived in my pocket for about six straight months. Since then, I’ve accumulated around 10 different Wurkkos models—and every single one has earned its place. Some of the brightest shining stars in my collection, literally and figuratively. If you couldn’t tell already, I’m a fan. Wurkkos consistently delivers absurd value for the money, and the HD01 Pro is no exception. It punches well above its price class and then asks if you want RGB accents while it’s at it. Final Verdict: If you want a compact, feature-packed light that outperforms lights costing significantly more, stop scrolling. Buy this one. Your wallet will forgive you....and your darkness doesn’t stand a chance. 💡😁

The Wurkkos HD01PRO is my favorite multi-purpose EDC flashlight, but you should know: 1. If it only blinks twice and won't turn on, it's locked; read the directions! 2. If you accidentally leave the laser pointer on it will overheat and burn out; it can't be fixed. So turn it off and lock it before putting it in your pocket or backpack! I've accidentally damaged 2 units this way. I wish the laser turned off when I release the button. The green laser is easily seen indoors, but not bright enough to be seen in sunlit areas, or for astronomy, or long distances. 3. Several functions require very rapid button pushes; if your fingers are cold, old, weak, or injured you may not be able to operate the flashlight. 4. The UV light is the second-best I've ever had; it's strong and great for fluorescent minerals, examining bathrooms, etc. 5. The unit gets very hot when running the brightest light, or the laser pointer. 6. The battery lasts a long time and recharges quickly. The magnet is very strong. 7. It is too big and heavy for dress slacks or tight jeans, but it is a great EDC light if you wear looser jeans or clip it to your belt. It's hard to clip to a ballcap because it's very long and heavy. Watch for discounts; I got one for $35 ($70 list price and a $35 coupon); the other was $49 ($56 list and a $9 coupon). One star off for the overheating laser issue; it should only have a push-to-operate laser or have an auto-shutoff if it gets too hot. Wurkkos replaced one unit for me; it took a few weeks to arrive.

What a well appointed EDC flashlight. The spotlight is bright and works well. The rbg segment on the side is perfect to light up a work area (or impersonate a cop car😜). It also has a built in uv light which comes handy for lots of diagnostic procedures. If you’re an auto tech this is great for UV dye inspection. There is a green laser pointer which can be used for whatever your mind might dream up. 🔝
