I used an old plastic store bag & wrapped according to the directions. It stayed on without a problem. I did an extensive clean up after the winter snow. The bag did not slip out & was able to hold a considerable amount. I did not find the rake part extremely useful. I think it was because of the design of the bottom. I think it needed to be sharper and wider- that's just my opinion. But all, in all, the scooper is definitely great. I am a senior citizen & ease, height, & stability of bag in the scooper.
