Reminds me of the one that Luke Skywalker used in the original Star Wars movie as he was looking out across the field only in a much smaller compact unit. The future is here than they thought it would be in 1977. This unit is nice small and compact and accurately describes how far away an item is I found that it works really well on shiny objects and supposedly locks into flags on the golf course very well as well however, I do not play golf anymore. I got this unit in order to tell how far away vehicles are and it works great for that. I kind of wish that the battery that is used in this would’ve been USB rechargeable battery or one of the more common AA batteries or two however, these are the same batteries that you used in a lot of red dot sites on pistols and rifles so they are still fairly readily available and cheap. I like the included case with these should help keep it in good condition whenever I need to use it. I’m very happy with this item and it is very similar to the less expensive vortex model used by hunters. The optic in this unit is quite clear, and the display is easy to read as it overlays on the lens.
