That weighs about as much as 3 laptops built today. NEVER a problem, AND I snagged the computer cord the second night I had it, and the whole lot came crashing to the ground. Says a lot about Dell, AND this AWESOME cooling pad, as they both worked completely normally after reassembly. One of the tabs that everyone is complaining about DID pop out, but it really took a shot, and I was able to put it back in without issue, and it's running today just like day 1. And it looks AWESOME. Haven't had a single shutdown to jacking the processor, RAM, and/or video cared up. I'm actually pleasantly surprised. I expected crap, but it has a good ranking. I am GOING TO BUY ANOTHER ONE. These are worth the money, and again, functional, stronger than you'd expect, the tabs are fine, and it does the job completely. I may have been one of the lucky ones. Usually this trash just gets thrown away. BTW, my Dell is a full 17" and both have sat an angle the whole time, as mentioned. **Q: Can the led light be turned off?** A: The light dims and brightens with the speed of the fan.
