Mini (2024 Edition) + Starter Pack for Little Kids Bundle, Ages 3+

I bought the Yoto Mini as an Alexa alternative for my nonverbal toddler, because voice commands are a lost cause here and I was over having the TV on just to play music or background noise. I honestly didn’t expect it to slide into our routine this easily, but it did. We use it during homeschool time and throughout the day when I want something playing that isn’t a screen. It gives her some independence, which is huge for us. She figured out the buttons immediately. It’s very straightforward, nothing that requires reading or speech. She can start her own music or stories without me hovering over it, and that alone makes it feel worth it. The thing I love most is that you don’t have to rely on the physical cards. You can download every card you buy straight into the app, so even if a card goes missing, you can still play the content. That’s honestly one of the main reasons I picked this over other audio players. It’s a small detail, but it makes the whole system way less stressful. I also use the Bluetooth feature more than I expected. If there’s something I want her to hear that isn’t on a card, I just connect my phone and play it. It basically doubles as a tiny Bluetooth speaker when we need it to. We’ve used it for music, educational songs, even little audio prompts during homeschool. It just gives us more options without me having to hand her my phone or turn on the TV. The sound is good for its size. It’s not meant to fill the whole house, but it’s clear and loud enough for a kid sitting nearby. If I’m being picky, I wish the speaker had a little more richness to it, but honestly, for a device this small, I can’t really complain. Overall, it’s been a great fit for a kid who can’t use Alexa and still wants some control over what she listens to. It keeps her entertained without screens, it frees up my TV, and the card-downloading thing makes the whole system so much more realistic for everyday use. I’d definitely buy it again, and I kind of wish I’d gotten it sooner. The mini is so cheap, and we plan to upgrade to a full size player eventually. Yoto mini is a great intro to the Yoto world.

One of the very best purchases our family has ever made! Very worth the investment. This thing goes EVERYWHERE with us. It's so cute and so easy to use that even my 1.5 year old knows how to turn it on and off. I found a nice little case so we can take it and the cars everywhere. Easy to push buttons, easy to read and understand chapter icons. The app is great and between four kids I haven't broken or lost a single card. Worth every penny. Connects to Bluetooth to be used on apps like Libby, Spotify and more, so not limited to just card or the online store. You can download podcasts on the MYO (make your own) cards from their store for free which is very fun. The options are endless! Our days wouldn't be the same without the Yoto!

The Mini Yoto Player has been one of the best purchases we’ve made for our child. This is hands down the best thing you can buy a 4+ year old, though you could also get it for a 2-3 year old. Not only is the daily radio program informative and engaging, but the yoto is designed cleverly to be easy to work for toddlers and above. The sound quality is phenomenal, this adds so many quality moments to our days, and we get to use it in so many ways. Drawing cards are a favorite in our household, along with the Chronicles of Narnia series. The mindful piano that came with this is also great for bedtime! The size is so compact that it is great to take on car trips or allow in the bed as littles fall asleep. What a fantastic way to introduce more read alouds and music in a safe, controlled way. This is not only functional, but also engaging, fun, and adds quality to our days.

I can't say enough good things about the Yoto. It's so easy to use, minimal buttons, no screens (yay!), lots of cards to choose from (music, stories, podcasts), and even make-your-own cards! My kids love it and it seems to really calm them and help them travel into their imagination. They listen for hours. My only complaint is that I wish there was an easier way to make playlists for the MYO cards, like maybe mp3 downloads on the Yoto app. As of now you have to have your own mp3 files or just record sounds/music. Overall though a fantastic toy/gift for any kiddo, I'd say ages 3-12. It's a fabulous helper for bedtime with multiple kiddos. Also super durable if your kiddos are rough and rowdy.

I do love this, but my toddler who is 2 1/2 hasn’t taken to it as I anticipated she would. She’s very good at hand, coordination and navigating devices and activities and toys, but the knob are not as easy to use for her age group as i had had hoped. I was really debating going with the music player that had the little characters on top instead of the card based system because I didn’t want something bulky but this seems, at least initially, better suited for a slightly older child. I’ve been trying to get her to use it for a month and a half. It’s still a very fun design and concept and I’m sure we will hit the sweet spot but just be aware you never know what your kid gravitates to and why or why not. When it comes to the technical side, the battery life is great. It does also seem very well built. The sound is good and isn’t triggering my overstimulated senses so we will definitely be keeping it around, but unfortunately, it felt a little bit pricey, and I don’t feel great about spending the money when my kid isn’t loving it at the moment.

My toddler LOVES his Yoto! He listens to it everyday! The sound quality is great! JT’s appearance is very cute and easy for a toddler to use. The small size of the mini is perfect for toddlers. And it’s easy to figure out how to use. It performs well and is a great value for your money.

Great product. The app has lots of free stuff you can get as well (not even just through yoto club). Our 14mo old loves listening to music on it. Very cool that you can use it as a general speaker too. When you’re away from wifi you need to use the cards. The yoto radio and podcast are cool. Our toddler goes to sleep to the sleepy stories every night! Would recommend for sure and think it will only get better as she gets older.

Le prix peut sembler un peu élevé, et selon moi, ça l'est un peu en effet. Ceci dit, nos deux filles adorent utiliser le Yoto. Les cartes sont variées et peuvent être utiles pour les enfants de plusieurs âges différents. De plus, même quand on ne met pas de carte dedans, il y a une "station de radio" si on veut qui fait jouer des chansons à longueur de journée, ce qui est très bien aussi.

Fantastic!! If you're wondering if these yotos are worth it.. stop thinking and get one already. I purchased in an Amazon prime sale. Online content available too, some is free. Do your research. The volume can be controlled and capped by the parents on your phone.. a huge selling factor. So much content available to add. The cards are pricy tho. We have a Tonie player and a yoto mini .. I'm really torn between which we prefer. They both are so engaging and enjoyable for the 2 and 3 year old. It's pleasing to have on even for the adults. The yoto has made car journeys so much easier too!!! I'm going to get a second one to use in the car.

This was purchased for my four year old grandson, who loves a story & a sing song. I liked the idea of this not having a phone-like screen, being controllable by an adult, being compact & self-reliant enough to travel & most of all, being able to "grow" with a child's age & development. Research shows that there is a wide spectrum of material available for the Yoto, both new & used, with the possibility of swaps too. It's still early in our journey of discovery with this little device, but so far its purpose seems to be being fulfilled admirably and is being enjoyed immensely.
