Bird-X BirdXPeller Pro Electronic Bird Repeller Version 1

It worked wonderfully for us. We have 25 blueberry bushes planted fairly close together in one area in direct sunlight and the berries always grow; but in past years the birds ate 90% of them and we only got a few quarts. The birds (blue jays, black birds (with yellow and orange under their wings), robins, even crows) were there early in the morning when we got up and we would chase them away, but they kept coming back. Some of the birds (the blue jays) would even land on the bushes next to us last year when we were picking berries. But this year within a few days of setting up the Bird-X BirdXPeller Pro the birds started leaving. The last to leave were a few Robins (who must have been near deaf), but after a few weeks they left also. I set the unit up about 20 feet from the berries. I changed the predator prey calls twice during the season and I only had it turned on about half volume. We have about five acres, three quarters of it is treed, and I only set it loud enough to cover the cultivated acre. So the noise wasn't loud enough to bother our neighbour, but the birds heard it, as we hoped they would. We definitely are very pleased with the results. We filed a freezer with our berries this year.

Don't waste your money. This thing is poorly constructed, ineffective garbage and should be avoided. After several weeks of use, following the directions exactly, it did absolutely nothing to deter starlings and pigeons. More importantly, it's cheap, and poorly built. The clear plastic cover to the control panel collects moisture and fogs in even the lightest rain, completely blocking the light sensor and preventing it from turning on. Water also easily seeps into the unit itself, ultimately breaking mine completely. In other words, it's not built to be used outdoors. Which is a problem, considering - you know - that's where birds live.

I purchased this out of desperation and really didn't think that there was a shot in Hell that it would work. I have lived in my home for 3+ years and specifically got the best location ( which I paid for) because it backs into open space at the top of a hill. And I only have neighbors on one side. It's beautiful. . .except for the pidgeons. Hundreds a day for the past 3 + years have roosted on my roof top, in my fountain, on the sills. . .and have created so much damage from poop to the grounds and my furniture and have covered my solar panels . I can't even walk outside without sweeping the inches deep bird poop that is everwhere. I spent thousands on stuff for the roof to keep them from nesting, to no avail. I don't want to jinx myself, but I put this outside yesterday morning after I got it, and the birds have left my roof and at first went to my neighbor's roof (something I had never seen in 3+ years) and then to a home way in the distance. This makes sense since the box is supposed to work for an acre. I have not had a day since the fountain was built that there weren't 20 pigeons in it at all time. They are gone!! It's only been 36 hours, so I am cautiously optimistic, but WOW!!! The unit is quite loud. There is a volume on it, but it is rather an annoying sound. . .but I am totally willing to put up with it as long as the damage to my property stops. I was kind of hoping that it would be an ultrasonic sound only heard by animals, but at this point, I'll put up with the noise. The only other challenge is that technically it should point to the area that you are trying to protect, but to do that, I would need it in the yard, but it isn't waterproof. It feels like a solar option would be more practical. However, I will keep it on my covered patio for now and hope that it keeps working.

We purchased this product to rid us from about a dozen small birds sleeping under the cedar outdoor patio. We had droppings all over the furniture and grills everyday for several weeks and were spinning our heads as to what to try. We tried with two different owl decoys with swivel heads and we think the birds and owls became friends, they did nothing to scare them. Tried spikes, didn't work either, as they would somehow settle in between them for the night. I set the system up around 9pm under the patio. After securing with the band provided and a few screws, we turned it on. ALL the birds immediately flew away and have not returned as of yet! We couldn't believe it! This works as described, easy to set up and appears to have flushed them away! We opted for the 4x different prey sounds throughout the night only and it is working great!

This is a nicely engineered and a solid bit of electronics. It works- and emits sounds - at up to a really irritating level. The features where you can vary sounds and timing work very well. It is just that for my application- pigeons roosting in my large metal shed, it does not work. It may work for you and your circumstance- but it does not work for me

Finally, a product that seems to work to repel the birds. After having it set up for several weeks there are still a few hanging around but the majority have left the area. They have nests and eggs and won't leave them. They are also much quieter than before. Perhaps next spring it will prevent any new ones coming around. I am using the unit for my back yard and the neighbor behind me who has problems with the front yard tree and bird poop on their vehicles. It is working for her too. So the unit does cover a large area as it states. I am satisfied with the results so far. I just need to get used to the audible sounds it emits. Hopefully, the birds won't. I would recommend it to others. An update: the unit is supposed to be waterproof. It is NOT. I made sure the gasket was in place properly and the door fully closed and latched. After a rain storm I had a lot of water in the unit and it no longer works. Very disappointed since it was expensive and supposed to be waterproof. However, the unit did work to remove most of the birds in the area.

It functions as it should and it's very annoying to people but birds don't seem to care.

This offer comes with a US plug! Despite the description, does it not work with a Battery!! If you get it to run it does what it is supposed to. Yet the switches are very tiny. Instructions are only in english.

No se si sea porque en mty, no hay esas aves depredadoras pero las palomas hasta se pasean cerca del artefacto, no me sirvió. Me han funcionado las estatuillas de búho 🦉

Leider blieben die Tauben vom Raubvogelgeschrei total unbeeindruckt und der Vogelvertreiber führte zu keinerlei Verbesserung. Lediglich die ein oder andere Elster schaute etwas irritiert umher, ergriff aber auch nicht die Flucht. Nach einer guten Woche habe ich das Gerät letztendlich wieder entfernt.
