Great headsets for work
These are awesome, I’ve bought them for everyone in my office, they are great headsets and I like that they don’t cover your ear. The sound quality is really good and they cancel out noise. They are comfortable to use all day. They can get a full charge in about 10-15 minutes. I like that I can use them for work and can also connect them to my phone. The only thing i wish they did is that I could answer phone calls from my computer using the “answer button” they said it is a feature that may be available in the future. I highly recommend these.

Awesome headset!
This headset is fantastic! The fit is great and is very comfortable. The sound quality and functionality is amazing. It is very light weight and super easy to use. It comes with a nice carrying case and the price point is the best part. I would definitely recommend.

a faithful companion :'(
i've had these boys since feburary and i gotta say: they are pretty dang good for their niche. audio quality: the mids are a bit heavy but not as much as you'd expect. the highs are there and the bass literally vibrates against your head lol it feels very weird at first. they also have enough volume to drown out any sound from around you without distorting at all which is pretty nice. you can tell they're kinda optimized for voice which makes sense. the soundstage is very weird with these because it sounds like if there's a overhead sound system but everywhere? if you put plug your ears with even your fingers in it really makes the whole spectrum fill out which is interesting. earplugs add a surprising amount of depth! they're still not winning any awards for their quality but they are passably good enough. you don't buy these for epic fidelity. i do think if the transducers were bigger like shokz's other models they would prob have different sound quality but i haven't sampled any of them. i work IT in a manufacturing company where company policy is only open headphones or bone conduction on the floor. these allow you to hear people, forklifts, cranes or whathaveyou and still have a solid phone call or listen to music while walking. maintaining situational awareness is a very important thing with heavy industry going on around you BUT ALSO not compromising too bad on the sound quality no matter what's going on around you. that's what you buy these for. they are better than any in-ear headphone for that even if they have an audio passthrough mode because they don't block your ears at all. mic quality is SUPERB. it doesn't matter where you are on the factory floor this thing will WORK. it's bluetooth so it's always gonna be slightly crunchy but this thing picks up your voice perfectly even against heavy background noise. it's really nice to be able to take and make calls no matter where you are in the company. it makes it very nice to be on the phone with someone while you're running and tracing cables or adjusting cameras. battery life: SUPERB. these things can last a week ish on and off usage, they use very little power if you're not in a call or listening to anything. the fit: COMFY. you can wear these all day long and they hold onto your head no matter what you're doing. i have basically worn these every day since i got them. i have long hair and they are very agreeable whether my hair is up or down. the boom doesn't even stick out crazy far so they kinda disappear in my hair lol the range: certified good enough. sometimes surprising how much it can go thru but not like crazy long range or anything. the only feature i really wish these had was 2 device pairing. it would be super nice to pair these to both my phone and my desktop. onboard EQ would also be nice but not a super big deal i think. sadly i come to report that i dropped them last friday after a long week of networking a new shop and stepped on them 😭 i found them buried in the snow at lunch. pro tip: don't step on them with steel toe boots lol i got another pair tho. they are an indispensable tool!!!!

Great head unit
I got this back in December 2024 as an early Christmas gift to myself to use for work since I spend a lot of time on the road and around heavy machinery. I first learned about this from a tri-axle driver and he raved a lot about it to me since he sees me using ear buds and I have to try to walk away from all the noise when on business calls. My impressions about it first try.. It's comfortably light. It's been 5 months now and most of the time I don't even notice I have it on just like wearing my glasses. I like the fact that I can still hear my surroundings unlike wearing ear buds. Even with a noisy environment, you can clearly hear and whoever you are talking to can hear you clearly thanks to the noise canceling. Battery life is really good. On normal daily use I can get 3 days per charge. Reason I only gave it a 4 out of 5 is because of the discomfort during the winter. Thanks to the hard loop that goes around the back of your head, it is uncomfortable if you're wearing a beanie, balaclava or a hood during the cold months. The headset ends up pushing to the back if my ear and by the end of the day the back if my ear is sore. Other than that, it's comforting. It doesn't interfere with anything when I wear just a hat or hard hat. I wish the loop can be softer. I want to get the model without the back loop but I don't know how well it will work on calls. This one, if you have the boom mic along the height of your eyes it sounds like you're talking from across the room. So seeing that the individual ear type doesn't have a boom mic, I'm on the fence about getting it. Overall, it is a great and comfortable unit. I'm in the construction field and it has been very durable. Sweating isn't an issue for it unlike the ear buds which after a while will pop out due to the sweat. So, if you don't have to wear a face/head covering to keep your head warm during the winter, this will be an excellent head unit.

I wear the SHOKZ OpenComm2 all day. I’m chatting with clients, attending a Zoom meeting, or waiting for a call. The SHOKZ OpenComm2 is very comfortable to wear and does not fatigue your ears like all-day headphones or earbud wearing causes. I also wonder if having your ear canals open to the air is safer. I work alone, so being able to monitor my surroundings is important. I like to know what my corgi is getting into when my back is turned. Bone conduction is like having an extra set of ears. I can focus on a call, but monitor my environment. The SHOKZ OpenComm2 will easily last a day. Shokz says there are 16 hours of runtime, but fortunately, I’ve never had that long a day in the office. :-) The boom mike offers superb noise reduction. I live in a windy area and have used this outside (I admit to sneaking outside to play fetch with my dog on some long calls.) with no problems being understood by clients. The controls are easy to use; I prefer tactile buttons to touch screens. The sound quality is great for hearing callers, and you can listen to music on the SHOKZ OpenComm2, but the sound quality is not as good as on the Shokz Open Run, which I own. That’s not an issue for me, as I work alone and usually have my hi-fi blaring. But, if you are concerned with music, realize that the SHOKZ OpenComm2 is designed for voice reproduction, not music. Bassheads look elsewhere. :-) The SHOKZ OpenComm2 offers dual pairing and seamless links between two devices. I use it with my phone or through the Shokz Loop (See my review on Amazon.) when using my computer. The only thing I would change on the SHOKZ OpenComm2 is the charging port. This uses the standard proprietary charger used on all Shokz units. It works well with a secure magnetic connection, but I would prefer the industry standard USB-C connection. The proprietary cable is well made, but it is one more cable to lug around and track when you travel. The carry case is hard-backed and very protective. There’s room inside for a cable and a Loop. In conclusion, the SHOKZ OpenComm2 is a well-designed bone-conducting headset that offers a solid connection, all-day comfort, and fantastic noise reduction. It is an excellent investment if you talk with clients all day.
