Works Perfectly – No Issues at All
This is a great add-on for the Raspberry Pi 5. Everything was included—PoE+ Hat, official active cooler, and all screws and tools needed for fitting. Installation was simple, and it supports a wide range of M.2 NVMe SSD sizes. I’ve had no problems at all, and everything works exactly as expected. Solid product, very happy with it.

Excellent addition
The case and hat are a great addition if you want to install using POE and not have the hassle of an additional power supply. The installation instructions were simple to follow with one exception, once the hat is installed and to get POE working, make sure the 4 pin connector is in place over the power pins that come through the hat and that any lose solder is removed which took me a little while to work out with a magnifying glass. Other than that, an excellent upgrade to a Raspberry Pi 5

POE + NVME works great with tall case that can fit very thin NVME SSD heatsink!
I bought this hat so I can run a NUT Server on a Raspberry Pi 5 with a single cable for both data and power. POE and NVME worked right out of the box without no issues and I used a Lexar NM620 M.2 SSD without any issues at all. The instruction were easily to follow and with handful of suitable pictures. The only difficult part was attaching the PCIE cable from the Pi 5 to the hat but that only because it was tight space with not very flexible cable. I also dislike that the case feet cover over the screws at the bottom. So if you need to replace the pi 5 or take it out of the case then you would need to access the bottom screws and destroy rubber feet. However, the tight for the case is great it is far taller than other cases on the market.The lear NM620 NVME SSD fit fine and I even fitted a thin SSD heatsink for the SSD without any issues due to the taller case. Overall, I’m very happy with the hat and the case and would definitely recommend them.

Quality Hardware But Runs Hot
Nice kit. Metal case is good quality but found there is a significant difference in CPU temperature even with official Raspberry PI fan attached. Obviously this is going to be because of the hat reducing airflow but its worth being aware for setups with more restricted airflow

PoE/NVMe hat works perfectly and the case fits and looks great!
I work as a communications engineer and I wanted a robust and reliable solution for running a Zabbix server on a Raspberry Pi 5, with the idea that I can take it on jobs with me, connect it to a PoE switch and leave it to do its thing. I tried a different brand of combined PoE/NVMe hat that didn't work (built in active fan wouldn't spin up and my RPi5 couldn't see the SSD) so I was very pleased when this worked straight out of the box with a Lexar NM620 SSD. One thing to be aware of is that this hat is taller than other brands and wouldn't fit into my existing RPi5 case but it fits perfectly inside the optional GeeekPi aluminium case so buying them as a bundle makes sense! I also like that the hat comes with the official RPi active fan, plus the heatsink has the thermal pads already fitted so you don't have to fiddle around with those yourself. Overall I'm very impressed with both the hat and the case and would definitely recommend them.

great kit
GeeekPi P33 M.2 NVME M-Key PoE+ Hat i added the following, both from Amazon: Crucial P3 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen3 NVMe Internal SSD GeeekPi Metal Case for Raspberry Pi 5 installation is straight forward, the arrows for the ribbon cable have now gone, and the new lettering is much better; (see picture attached); i fitted a full length M.2 SSD (2280), which the board is designed for; spacers are provided for smaller versions; the Pi5 only runs the interface at gen 2 speed, but i increased it to gen 3 in this manner: modify /boot/firmware/config.txt and add dtparam=pciex1 add the following line after to force gen 3 speed dtparam=pciex1_gen=3 the hat only just fits in the case, but it has rarely gone above 50 deg; the installation via internet, is not currently working, so with a formatted and imaged microsd card installed underneath the board, boot up, and use the raspberry pi imager to image the SSD; remove the microsd card, and reboot;

Don't bother
Pi 5 refuses to boot from NVME, tried changing drives, even ordered another one of these and it will not work.

Works great
Works great, comes with some spare parts (ribbon cable, screws) Installation is quite fiddly, but once you've done it once then it's fine. I bought two, one was missing heat sink clips in the cooler, but these things happen.
