Great, high quality knife, much better than I expected
Top quality knife. Very sharp, and seems to stay that way! I bought it for the Marlin Spike, but it has locking blade and spike so you can depend on using it safely. Good feeling heft/weight in the hand. I compared it to all the similar knives available, and I got a better knife for the money than I expected!

Bought as a "Thank You" present, and the captian loves it!
If it were possible, I'd actually give this a 4.5 stars. The blade is sharp and a good length, and the marlin spike is of great size. I love how everything locked when open. However, while trying to learn how to unlock the marlin spike, I somehow chipped off some of the black coating. It isn't noticeable, but know that it is possible for the coating to be scratched away. Still, I've tried to scratch more away to test it, and haven't been able to again. (Perhaps it came like this and I didn't notice.) My only other wish is that the knife locked while down in its holder. But I don't find it that big of a deal- I tried to 'flick' the knife out, and it really does have to have some light pressure puling on it to pop out. I'm not super worried about there being no lock down option. Overall, a fantastic knife. I picked this over others because of the size and the design. It's simply beautiful, much better than simple metal ones! The blade is surprisingly sharp right out of the box, and I didn't have any problems with any joints or bolts being sticky or hard to move! I think you'll love this product.

Great knife
This knife has been my personal carry for the past few years now. I love this knife and use it several times daily. Blade is sharp and easily re-sharpened, the marlin spike is strong, and the handle is comfortable. The only issues I've experienced over the past few years, are that the corby bolts that secure the handle to the knife, will loosen occasionally. I just have to tighten them a little. Maybe 2 or 3 times a year. However, I do use it every day (Including the marlin spike). I use the blade for cutting and the spike for poking, prying, and digging. Would not hesitate to buy it again.

Made in China
Mine arrived today. I was looking for a knife not made in China and I thought this was it, but it is made in China. To be fair, it's good craftsmanship, well finished, I looked for any imperfection and can't see anything. The blade has a lock in the open position as well as the spike. The spike feels sturdy and well designed, the blade could've been a little bit thicker, it feels kinda weak. I'm giving it four stars because I've had bad experience with other tools from China and I have the feeling it won't be any different. If only Amazon could impose the sellers to specify the items origen.

But for those six months it was the best knife I have ever owned
Had this knife for about six months. Then it mysteriously disappeared. But for those six months it was the best knife I have ever owned. I've carried buck knives, smith & wesson, cheap generic ones. But none meet the functionality of this one. It was razor short out of the package, well built and good looking. The bamboo scales make it lighter than it looks which means it's more comfortable to carry. I like the size as I have big hands but some may think it's a little too big. It locks up well and folds back comfortably. It never got rust on it in 6 months of carry and every day use. The marlin spike is fantastic. You won't believe the uses you'll find for it. I'm ordering another, and intend to carry it until it falls apart.

I can't break this knife
The blade holds an edge really well and comes from the factory fairly sharp already. I've used this knife to open paint cans as hammer to close paint cans. I've used the spike to break down shackles and blocks I was surprised how it held up I was honestly expecting to break it. Great all around knife yes it is a little bulky compared to other knifes however I know this knife won't break while I'm on the water. If you are hard on the knife it will need to be retightend which is just a small allen wrench and can be done while honing.

Camillus Ti Marlin Spike pocket knife
This knife was purchased as a gift to a sailing enthusiast. Knife is well constructed and designed well for rope cutting, splicing, and knot tying/untying. Blade is of enough cutting area to allow parting most rope/lines 1 inch or less in size. Marlin spike has positive lock open preventing accidental closing during use and once understanding how the lanyard ring is used to release the lock, is easy to unlock and stow the spike. The spike is very useful in forcing slack to untie knots as well in holding slack in wraps of line during spicing. Handle material seems well fitted, comfortable and practical for the intended environment that this knife is intended to be use in. I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend this knife for those desiring a easy to carry rope working tool.

Very good knife. The locking mechanism took a little experimenting to work out - it's not obvious how to unlock the spike. Locking of both spike and blade very positive. Cut 10 mm braid-on-braid rope cleanly.
