Viewing area measured 2.8". Entire head measured 4.5".Saying it is a 4" magnifier is questionable even for a Chinese manufacturer.I have a 4" glass magnifier and 4" plastic lens magnifier and both are much sharper than this small magnifier.The goose neck works great and easily handles the weigh of the head.The clamp worked well too.The lights were pretty good for leds. Bright enough and even lighting.It pulled 1 amp from my USB power supply so would not be good for USB 1 or USB 2 ports.Overall, I give it 2 stars.
