Best option vs safety pin
So I've tried almost every product out there. In my pic you can see BibBoards, BIBUPS and Race Dots. Whats also out there that I haven't tried is Bib Magnets (dot com), Bib Magnets (Crowned Athletics) and Racebibups. I think BIBUPS are the best out of the three I've tried. Race Dots worked ok but because there is not a cover on the magnet, they are hard to get a hold of and will stick to each other. Race Dots specifically recommends runners put two dots up top on the bib and one on the bottom middle of the bib because otherwise if you bend down to stretch or whatever, the bib will fold in half due to the top and bottom magnets sticking to each other. BibBoards are ok but they became quite the nuisance when attempting to get the perfect placement of the bib on my shirt. The shirt will bunch up where you snap the Bib Boards so it takes time to snap it just right and not have the shirt saggy. They also WILL leave indents and possible holes depending on the fabric of the shirt. Not being able to easily get a good fit of the bib was more bothersome than anything. I'd even say worse than fiddling with the safety pins most races provide. BIBUPS has covers on the magnets and the covers are also star shaped which makes it very easy to grab hold of and adjust. No worries bending down to stretch or re-tie your shoe because they are protected by the cover and wont stick to anything other than its mate. They also don't feel as heavy as racedots but the magnets are just as strong. The only place to find BIBUPS is on Amazon but they are worth it. I've ran two 5K races, no issues. Racebibups could be a good product. The front magnet is larger than the rear magnet which would make grabbing and adjusting much easier than Race Dots. Only problem for me is they are an Italy/Great Britain company and I live in USA. Bibmagnets (dot com) looks like they have an outer lip on both the front/rear magnet so they could be a good option. Bibmagnets (crowned athletics) doesn't really show what the rear magnet looks like so I assume they are the same size and would give the same problem as Race Dots. I purchased Bibboards first, then Race Dots and finally BIBUPS (both black and white...pictured). I'm very happy with BIBUPS! I researched more companies but no need for me to spend anymore money. I hope this review helps you

Good choice
No more safety pins to mess with. These magnets go on easy and stay secure in place. I’ve attached to quarter zip sweater and not one fell off. I feared it would come off because of the thicker material of sweater but it held up well. Would recommend

Saves your clothing from repeated punctures
Overpriced, yes, but I got tired of poking holes into my running top each race. I did lose one set so I’ll have to get another. The magnetic strength is pretty good so it shouldn’t fall off unless you inadvertently swipe at it when you are running.

These work - no missed timing mats
I used these in a recent marathon after being frustrated in the past due to safety pins causing holes in shirts I like (honestly, my first marathon was in freezing rain and I ended up with rusty holes on my shirt from the bib, so I’m probably a bit more traumatized by safety pins than I should be). Pros with Bibups: My bib number stayed on, and once I got started in the race I had no issues. I have times from all timing mats. I know the bib flipping up (if you use a belt and the bib is flipping around) or if you have an arm across the chip can all interfere with the ability to register a time, and while these claim not to interfere I wasn’t sure what would happen, but I’m happy to say that all my times showed up properly. No holes in my shirt, and I wore one of my favorite stretchy running shirts and was comfortable during my race, so that was great. No chafing. I hadn’t really tested little bits of plastic rubbing against my stomach for 5 plus hours, but no problems there. Cons with Bibups: These are slightly harder to get placed on the shirt compared to safety pins. I’ve always had to adjust safety pins several times myself, and it’s difficult to get the shirt on (if two of the sets of magnets come close to each other, they stick to each other even if they are already paired to their mates, so it can be tricky getting the shirt on over your head with the bib already on. I knocked one off while waiting for my corral to release, and its mate went skittering across the ground. I was able to reclaim it because we weren’t moving yet, but during a race this would have been a bigger problem. The first time I went to put the magnets on the bib, it got attracted to the timing chip, which caused me a bit of uncertainty as to whether I screwed up my timing chip or not. I was more cautious putting the rest of the magnets on, and the timing chip functioned well, so overall I wasn’t too bothered but just a little mad at myself for letting that happen. The magnets add a slight amount of weight to your shirt, especially if you are wearing a very light and swingy shirt this might be a problem (it was not a problem for me, I got used to it pretty quickly). And finally, you need to be vigilant about not letting magents come in contact with credit cards, etc. There's a lot to remember in race prep and post race, and now magnets and what magnets can do to your stuff is one more thing to keep track of. Conclusions: I’m really glad I got these. I didn’t lose any in my first race using them, and I can use them again in upcoming races. These seem a little expensive for tiny magnets covered in plastic, but are definitely cheaper than what they were selling (a similar brand) at my race Expo. It’s not a perfect system, and any metal near the timing chip “might” screw up the timing mats, but I had no problems and I’m going to keep using them.

Works
Worked perfectly. Little cumbersome to put on, but they do not come off while running.

I want to love theses, but there are some issues
First of all, I wanted to love these with all my heart. I ordered these for an impending summer race, but my first bout with them was for a march race. First of all, if you are racing and your race gear involves wearing a zip up coat, jacket, vest or anything else that goes on top of your clothes, don’t bother. It is absolutely impossible to put these on while wearing your clothes. You can think you will put your bib on the jacket and just “slip on in”, you will not. Magnets literally flying all over the house. Try putting them on while wearing the jacket? Same problem, maybe if you have a second set of hands, but at that point, just use the safety pins. Same goes for if you want to put your bib on your pants because you may be removing layers as you go. Not, gonna happen without slipping and losing magnets. I feel pretty confident if you have a looser tech shirt you should be able to shimmy in, but only after you fastened the magnets to the back. Hopefully this helps another colder weather racer to make the proper educated decision. Upsides, the magnets have good stick when you can get them to match up, and they give you five for the inevitable lost back problem.

La primera vez cuesta un poco de trabajo ponerlos, pero fijan super bien no se mueven y no interfieren ni con el garmin ni con los puntos de medición

Ottimi magneti, potenti, praticamente fantastici.
