From the photos in the review I was concerned that the writing pad might be too thin, like a file folder, but was relived to see that wasn't the case. It is well over an mm thick, stiff enough, though a bit thicker wouldn't have hurt. All surfaces are matt, paper holder has strong springs. Since "quality" is defined as fitness for purpose, this has sufficient quality.

Lots of shortcomings
Good idea but not good execution, material gets scratchy and scratches other items too, not quite sturdy, cannot take much of normal writing pressure, buckles and bends easiliy, scratchy writing surface does not make writing go well. Size and dimensions are appropriate
