They both come and stand to have them put on so no objection from their side.The padding makes them comfortable to wear and compared to other head collars stay in position and do not mark the fur.Although Dogmatic does not provide a link between the head collar and a normal collar I would recommend one.We use Halti links. Both our collies and a now deceased corgi slipped out of their head collar (a rare occurrence). Had tried a simpler training collar but he just removed it in seconds every time! He doesn't like the Dogmatic BUT it works!!He is becoming a much better lead-walker and learning that his place is at my knee. I walk him once a day, on the road with the Dogmatic, then just use the slip lead for the rest of our walks.A brilliant product!
