Worth the investment...
Actually impressed! At the time of me writing this review, I've had this helmet/hood for over a week. The auto-darkening is very responsive, controls are easy to use and get to MY happy welding place, The light, while not super bright, is helpful in poor lighting. The headband it's very adjustable and user-friendly. While not the lightest hood on the market, it is comfortable and I can wear it for a solid 8 hour day and not feel it. The one year warranty is a must have and I'm happy they provide it.

Great deal
Works great. The lights help a lot. Little sensitive to darken when lights are on but got use to it. Having the side windows helps with welding exhaust under a car. Don’t hit my head as much now.

Useless
This is the most useless helmet I have ever tried. I was looking for. a helmet with a wide view and lights for work illumination. Aside from the fact that the unit was stupid heavy (I expected that). the auto darkening is triggered by the room lights no matter the setting. had to keep putting my hand over the sensors to get it to lighten. Total pain in the rear. And the lens will not come off dark any time the helmet lights are on, at any intensity or sensitivity setting. I tried to use this for a couple hours and ended up putting it back in the box and returning it.

WOW!!!!! Just wow, I love this welding helmet!!!!!
I tried a 2”x4.25” trucolor welding lens and really liked it and so I looked through Amazon for other welding hoods and really liked this design and the panoramic view on this hood…. It needed to be fully charged for the led lights and then everything worked great. I did my first welds with it today, and after playing with the settings for a minute I got it dialed in so it was dark enough but still could see my workpiece nice and clear as the arc flowed…. I actually have a Hobart and a Miller auto darkening hoods, and while they are great hoods, I definitely prefer the lens on this new helmet, once the settings are set correct it’s just so clear and easy to use, I will keep this helmet for a long long time and pass down my miller and Hobart auto darkening hoods to friends that can use them as an upgrade to their existing hoods So overall I’m extremely happy with the welding hood, and the panoramic side lenses are just nice to have and give a nice peripheral view… I did wait for this one to go on sale for $139 instead of $169 so that made it even nicer

It's decent
I wouldn't say it's incredible or out of this world. But it's OK. You have to charge the LED lights from the wall and I'm assuming the tint goes off of the solar panel charge. When I first used it, the shade lasted about 10mins after I started and i got arc flashed. I charged it from the wall and had full battery (I thought) and the LEDs worked for a lil while but the shade wouldn't even kick in and I got arc flashed multiple times trying to get it to work. My advice, leave it on the porch all day before you try to use it. I did and it actually worked after that. The LEDs do help a little when you're doing overhead. It helps just enough to be able to see where you're going without having to turn your shade down too much. It is kind of bulky tho. It's a pretty big hood. The protective shield on the front feels like it's made out of plastic so i recommend don't get too close or do a lot of stick overhead.

It’s ok, but not great
Great when welding. But really wanted to buy it for the light feature, however it does not work with the lights on. I set the sensitivity at the lowest setting.

Super bright lights. Easy to adjust. Fits well.

As a welder the helmet is sound. Great viewing area and true colour and the led works great. I did not receive a charging cord so be prepared for that.. But while the functionality of the unit is sound, it’s big and heavy in the grand scheme of things. It’s too heavy for the locking screws at the sides. Also not a huge fan out of outer controls for shade etc., as they tend to break easy but they seem pretty solid and well built. It’s a good helmet. But for tight spaces I keep my go to helmet as the bulk of this one is just to much.

By far the most feature rich widest angle view of an helmet I have used but I really struggle with the weight and the feel of the controls. Pros: - Huge viewing area, absolutely awesome for cutting and grinding. Marginal benefit for welding - Comfortable fit (weight aside) - Lights work great for cutting and grinding - Auto darkening and adjustments work well - Test and battery level on inside of screen - Rechargeable via USB-C Cons - It's really heavy, This is especially evident when in the up position, its hard to get the helmet to stay up and it's awkward with so much weight sticking off your forehead. - The controls while they work feel very cheap, the sliders are not smooth and the knobs are loose and easy to knock out of the desired setting. Overall I like the helmet but the controls feel like that of a budget helmet. The weight becomes uncomfortable after long uses and very awkward when in the up position. That said when in the down position the weight is better distributed you know it's there but the extra viewing and lights (for cutting and grinding) are nice. If the controls were better I would feel better about the value for the money invested.
