This is my first tropical plant, so I got this soil meter so that I could keep track of the sunlight conditions and the moisture level - which can be tricky at times.I was very pleased with this purchase, as it is not only helpful to my plant's survival, but it is also really neat to look at and see the different readings. One thing that I thought was neat was the light sensor - which I have a close up of on the attached pictures. Something I'd like to try out is the pH meter on something like hydrangeas. That would be really cool and easy to help change their color (as it is linked to the pH of the soil). ### ⭐ Not Reliable *by V***L on Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2018* This product is not reliable. It registers when you first insert it into the soil, but if left in the same location after 1-2 days it permanently registers low, even when the soil is still moist. We just had a bunch of rain over several days and when I took a look at it, it said the moisture was low. The only way to acquire true readings is to move it to a new location every other day. My eyeballs are more accurate than this device.
