Apple Magic Trackpad: Bluetooth, rechargeable. Works with Mac or iPad; White, Multi-Touch surface (USB-C)

The Magic Trackpad is excellent. The multi-touch surface is incredibly smooth and gestures feel natural and responsive. It pairs quickly over Bluetooth and works seamlessly with both Mac and iPad. Battery life is very good and charging via USB-C is straightforward. The build quality feels premium and solid, as you would expect from Apple. Not cheap, but the performance and usability make it well worth it. Highly recommended.

Honestly there is nothing to say about any Apple product than it just works. This track pad works wonderfully. I like how when it’s turned off, it doesn’t click. It’s easy to use, has long battery life, very comfortable to scroll on and connects fairly quickly.

This is a great bit of kit. Yes, not the cheapest, but it is apple and you get what you pay for. Very well made, works straight out of the box, and works very well. I use this alongside a Magic Mouse. I personally wouldn't use just the trackpad but it depends what your needs are. For web browsing these are perfect, you can swipe, expand the size of font (if you eyes are a little on the older side...) all very easily. I do quite a bit of photo editing and word processing and personally I like the mouse for some tasks that are more precise. I'm sure this is personal preference, but for me, if you have an iMac this alongside a mouse will give you the ultimate Mac experience.

It's Apple so while it is expensive it just works out of the box, and works brilliantly. I have health issues, so the more traditional mouse is hard for me to operate with my left hand. The Trackpad solves those issues for both a Mac mini and for an iPad. The rechargeable battery (USB-C) removes the issues around the regular battery changes for the older Magic Trackpad product - and the rechargeable battery has a good life to it, before having to plug it in. Unlike the Magic Mouse you can still use the Trackpad while it's charging.

Fairly new to Apple products having purchased a Macbook Pro last year. Their hardware seems decent, their software much less so. I've always wanted a giant trackpack and this doesn't disappoint. I've disabled the force click feature whereby you press down harder to get a secondary function; this turned out to be annoying rather than helpful. I don't use it as my only 'mouse' input, I still use my Logitech MX Ergo, the latter being better for selecting text. The trackpad is better for scrolling about and is just fun to use, whilst getting your hand moving about. And you could use it as your only pointer device should you need to.

I love this. Matched with my iPad mini, the trackpad adds loads of functionality to my desk. Great stuff

What can I say expensive but like all Apple devices that don’t need AI, runs like a dream.

It's got to be Apple!! I'm not let down like I was with the Magic Mouse, which is clucky and noisy. The Magic Trackpad is quiet and responds just to a finger tip encased in solid style and materials.

I love it. So much better than any type of mouse. Very smooth, responsive, and very easy to pair; just plug in the (charging) cable, turn it on, and voila; it is paired. No nonsense, no hassle, just go. Love it. The haptic feedback is great too. It feels like a real click, but it is not -- which is good, because that does not easily wear out like a real button would. Gestures are very precise, takes some time to learn them all, but once I get the hang of it, I will be much more precise and comfortable than with any other regular mouse (or a trackball mouse). No more bumping the mouse into the keyboard for me!

El Magic Trackpad de Apple funciona de maravilla. La superficie es amplia, sensible y muy precisa, ideal para trabajar con gestos multitáctiles de macOS. El diseño es elegante, minimalista y combina perfectamente con otros productos Apple. Aunque el precio es elevado, como suele pasar con Apple, la calidad y la durabilidad lo compensan. Una inversión que realmente mejora la experiencia de uso.

Apple ha finalmente aggiornato il suo Magic Trackpad, e la novità più grande è l’USB-C! Dopo anni di cavi Lightning, anche questo accessorio si allinea alla nuova era. Ma oltre a questo cambiamento, è davvero un acquisto sensato? L’ho testato a fondo e qui ti racconto tutto, senza peli sulla lingua. Design: Sempre elegante, ma sempre lo stesso Se hai visto un Magic Trackpad negli ultimi anni, sai già com'è fatto. Ha un design minimal, è sottile e con il solito look premium in alluminio e vetro. Ora puoi averlo in bianco o nero, e la versione scura costa sempre di più, anche se nessuno ha mai capito il motivo. L'inclinazione è piacevole, ma attenzione: se usato a lungo senza un supporto ergonomico, può affaticare il polso. Inoltre, la superficie in vetro è bellissima, ma tende a trattenere ditate, specialmente nella versione nera. Apple avrebbe potuto magari cambiare qualcosina dopo tutti questi anni? Funzionalità: Il re delle gesture Se usi macOS, il Magic Trackpad è una goduria. Puoi scorrere tra le app, zoomare, passare da un desktop all'altro e fare swipe con una naturalezza incredibile. Il feedback aptico simula alla perfezione il clic fisico, tanto che ti dimentichi che in realtà non sta cliccando niente. Per chi lavora con grafica, video editing o multitasking pesante, è un vero game-changer. Se invece fai lavori di precisione, come CAD o gaming, meglio un mouse. Connettività e batteria: Addio Lightning, finalmente! La vera novità è che ora il Magic Trackpad usa l’USB-C per la ricarica. Questo significa un cavo in meno da ricordare, soprattutto se hai un MacBook recente, dato che puoi usare lo stesso cavo. La ricarica è più rapida rispetto al vecchio Lightning e puoi usarlo mentre è collegato, quindi niente più momenti di panico quando si scarica. La batteria resta un punto di forza, dato che dura settimane con una singola carica. Peccato che il cavo nella confezione sia ridicolmente corto, come sempre. Compatibilità con Windows: Sì, ma con riserva E qui arriva la nota dolente. Il Magic Trackpad si può usare con Windows, ma con limitazioni. Se lo colleghi via Bluetooth, funziona, ma senza gesture avanzate, diventando praticamente un touchpad gigante. Se usi Boot Camp su un Mac, puoi installare i driver Apple e sbloccare alcune funzioni, ma niente di paragonabile all'esperienza su macOS. Con software di terze parti tipo Magic Utilities, puoi abilitare alcune gesture anche su Windows, ma devi pagare per il software e non è proprio economico. Insomma, se usi solo Windows, meglio guardare altrove. Esperienza d’uso: Perfetto per alcuni, inutile per altri Se sei un utente Mac, il Magic Trackpad migliora la produttività e la navigazione. Chi lavora con grafica o montaggio video lo adorerà, mentre chi gioca o lavora con Excel e software di precisione farebbe meglio a lasciar perdere e puntare su un buon mouse. Non è adatto a tutti e richiede un periodo di adattamento. Prezzo: È ancora un furto? Costa circa 160 euro. Troppo? Dipende. Se ami l’ecosistema Apple, è quasi obbligatorio. Se vieni da un trackpad di un MacBook, non è un upgrade necessario. Se usi Windows, non vale assolutamente il prezzo. Pro e contro Il Magic Trackpad ha sicuramente tanti pregi. Il design premium e i materiali eccellenti lo rendono un prodotto bello e piacevole da usare. Le gesture multitouch su macOS sono perfette, l'introduzione dell'USB-C è una grande comodità e la batteria dura tantissimo. Tuttavia, ha anche dei difetti. Il prezzo è sempre alto, su Windows è quasi inutile senza software extra e non è ideale per chi lavora con alta precisione o gioca. Conclusione: Lo consiglio? Se hai un Mac e ami le gesture, sì: è il miglior trackpad sul mercato, punto. Ma se vieni dal trackpad di un MacBook, potresti non sentire la differenza. Se invece usi Windows, meglio lasciarlo sugli scaffali, perché non vale la pena spendere tanto per usarlo come un touchpad basico. Insomma, il Magic Trackpad è ancora "magico", ma solo nel giusto ecosistema.
