Recommended on a budget
This is my second Xbox Series S here is my honest review. I’ve been using the Xbox Series S for a while now, and honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag—but in a way that mostly works in its favor. The first thing you notice is how small and clean the console looks. It’s easy to tuck away almost anywhere, and it doesn’t make a big deal out of itself. Setup was quick, and getting into games feels fast thanks to the SSD. Load times are noticeably shorter compared to older consoles, which makes jumping between games or resuming where you left off feel smooth and modern. Performance-wise, it handles most games really well, especially if you’re playing on a 1080p or 1440p display. Games feel responsive, frame rates are stable, and features like Quick Resume are genuinely useful once you get used to them. That said, you do have to accept that this isn’t the console for top-tier graphics. Some games don’t look as sharp as they do on more powerful systems, and occasionally you’ll notice lower resolutions or missing visual details. Storage is probably the biggest downside. The internal space fills up faster than you’d expect, especially with modern game sizes. If you like having a lot of games installed at once, you’ll either be juggling downloads or considering extra storage, which adds to the cost. One thing I’ve really liked is how well it pairs with Game Pass. If you’re the kind of player who enjoys trying lots of different games without committing to full purchases, it feels like the console was designed with that in mind. It turns the Series S into a really convenient, low-hassle gaming hub. Overall, the Xbox Series S feels like a practical, no-frills console. It doesn’t try to compete at the highest graphical level, but it delivers a smooth, fast gaming experience at a more affordable entry point. If you’re okay with digital-only gaming and slightly scaled-back visuals, it’s a solid choice that does exactly what it promises. I recommend one.

Powerful abut Compact Gaming Console
I'm extremely impressed with the Xbox Series S! Despite its smaller size, it packs a punch with fast load times, smooth gameplay, and stunning graphics. The setup was straightforward, and I love the sleek, modern design that fits perfectly in my entertainment setup. The performance is excellent for both casual and more serious gaming, and the access to Xbox Game Pass offers a huge library of games at a great value. The quick resume feature is a game changer, allowing me to switch between multiple titles seamlessly. Overall, the Xbox Series S is a fantastic console that offers high performance in a compact package—highly recommended for gamers looking for quality and affordability!

Very Quick Delivery
I'm not a gamer but wanted to start dabbling in gaming. I already have a Gaming PC (well a high spec PC that wasn't intended for gaming but has the processing and GPU power to play high end games) so decided that Xbox would be the natural move to make as I can play the games on both PC and Xbox with the game pass. I was slightly skeptical about going 'all digital' thinking that the games would be massively expensive versus the DVD counterparts, but they are very reasonably priced. The console is good value and boasts a lot of power. The cloud gaming experience has been excellent as well - I have been using this as I purchased the 512GB version. One word of warning to anyone wanting to purchase this, is that there is NOT 512GB useable storage, this is the overall storage. The Operating System takes up a large chunk of storage. I have installed a couple of games and I already have less than 200GB available. If you want to play lots of games, I would suggest purchasing the 1TB version (or getting an expansion card). The cloud gaming mitigates some of these concerns but is reliant on a fast and stable broadband connection. The games that are optimised for this model are also very large (over 100GB each in most cases from what I've seen). I purchased this quite late in the evening and it arrived at 8am the next day - very impressed by the speedy delivery. I got it setup fairly quickly and it has been a very smooth experience. It is also surprisingly small! It's very slim and light.

Hidden Details of this Strong ability console
With this xbox you get exactly what is advertised. The xbox works great and feels smooth. When arriving new it arrives safetly and is easy to set up. However there are a few details I need to explain before buying as they are things I had to externally find out. Before getting make sure your tv/monitors can handle the quality of your xbox otherwise you will not get the 1440p quality and 120fps. As that is linked to the tv. Second the xboxs black circle on top does get very hot when playing Triple A games. Or just games with higher graphics. Generally though this does not affect the consoles running ability and overall the xbox runs smooth even when hot on top as the design allows the rest of the Xbox to stay cool. Which is a very nice touch.

Very happy with it, love playing RTS games not available on PlayStation.
Best value next generation gaming out there. Very easy to set up with a phone app; plenty of set up videos on YouTube. Switching on the console is very fast, compare my old PS4Pro & runs very quietly. Just make sure there is sufficient air flow access & I kept at least a 6 inch air access gap for the main fan of the console. It isn't required by the safety docs, but I also lifted the Xbox up, laying on its side, to allow airflow access to all 3 input air vents instead of just 2. But make sure the main fan is not cover up with a dust protector when running. Right now, both my new Xbox & my old PS4 Pro are connected to my TV via a £9 HDMI router (multi input to 1 output) from Amazon. I switched to the Xbox Series S to play Microsoft larger library of RTS games like Command & Conquer(s), Supreme Commander 2, Age of Empires 2 & 4. Loving it!

Fast, reliable and stable
Got this for my son who was a Ps5 user. He loves it. The running speed is fast, amazing graphics and can actually play the games the console is for, unlike it's competitor. Small in size makes it easier to store. It runs almost completely silent. Only downside is that the controller does need charging alot more often the it's competitor
