Apple Thunderbolt 5 (USB‑C) Pro Cable (1m) ​​​​​​​

I didn't really have a use for this rediculously expensive cable. It was very obvious I was buying quality, but I realized I didn't need this type of cable for my application, so I returned it. I was happy with it, but I found one of lesser price and lesser quality. I plugged it in, and worked fantastic and fast, and the cable was braided yet flexible.

I had no idea that there was such a difference in USB-C / Thunderbolt cable performance until someone recommended that I use this cable for doing backups from the MacBook Air to my external USB-C drive. It was like night and day ... before a backup could easily run 30 to 45 minutes, but now it rarely takes more than a minute. Yes, this cable is expensive. And it's thick, which means it doesn't bend easily. But for performance, it simply can't be beaten.

Outstanding cable, as one would expect, from Apple. While more expensive then competitors the price point here is much better then the Thnderbolt 4 from Apple. Using this for data tranfer as well as display and networking. Very reliable and top-notch construction make this one an easy recommendation.

It's an expensive cord but it is very nice and does what it is supposed to do. I was getting very fast speeds between M4 pro Mac mini and my Acasis NVME drive and thunderbolt 5 dock.

If you intend to invest in a MacMini 2024-2025, it is imperative to procure the authentic Thunderbolt 5 cable from Apple or Amazon. This Thunderbolt 5 cable performs exceptionally well, and my initial purchase was not from Apple. Prior to obtaining the genuine Apple Thunderbolt 5 cable, my monitor’s picture would distort upon waking up my MacMini each morning. However, this issue has been resolved, and I no longer encounter any distortions. By utilizing the authentic Apple Thunderbolt 5 cable, I am able to fully utilize all my Mac devices that support this connection. I share my insights and experiences with you. Genuine Thunderbolt 5 cable. Works as expected, as I'm getting the maximum theoretical speed out of my Thunderbolt 4 NVME M.2 SSD drive and enclosure. Beware of making the same mistake I did and buying cheap, unknown Chinese brands selling alleged Thunderbolt 5 cables. My SSD actually slowed down and got very hot when I used those cables. I rate this cable 4 star and not 5 because of the price. This cable is $20 more than the Belkin Thunderbolt 5 cable and that is just as good since that too is from a reliable brand. I tested the Belkin cable and it works as expected. You are paying for both quality and a premium for the Apple name here.
