Fantastic summary of information
Fantastic book! I'd especially recommend reading through pages 708-738 in the few days preceding your exam; it's a fantastic summary of what you need to know on test day. GET THIS BOOK AT BEGINNING OF M1!!!
If you're a med student or about to be a med student, PLEASE get this book. I know many people say you don't need it till your second year when you are studying for boards, but that is NOT true. I didn't get it until about 3 months left of my first year when I was doing bugs & drugs, and I cannot believe I waited that long. This book literally just breaks everything you're learning down into clear charts and tables with the main points you need to know. If you're struggling with any topic, this is guaranteed to help. If you're like me and you found yourself spending hours trying to organize the multitude of information your professors are throwing at you into one spot, with all the important info, this will SAVE SO MUCH TIME.

Questa edizione 2025 di First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 si conferma ancora una volta come il punto di riferimento assoluto per la preparazione allo Step 1. Il testo è ben organizzato per argomenti, suddiviso in modo logico e utile per lo studio a blocchi (sistemi e discipline). Ogni sezione è arricchita con schemi riassuntivi, illustrazioni chiare, immagini cliniche e tabelle, pensate per aiutare sia la memorizzazione sia il ragionamento nei test a risposta multipla. Molto utile anche l’uso di colori e simboli per evidenziare i concetti ad alta resa. Uno dei grandi punti di forza è l’equilibrio tra sintesi e completezza: il contenuto è concentrato ma sufficiente per coprire ogni ambito richiesto dal NBME.
