A little hard to make a full circle without it sliding, but otherwise really good. Interesting, and useful

This is a great ruler. I use it constantly for drawing circles, arches, and guidelines for calligraphy. I read some negative comments regarding it being fragile. This has not been my experience. I would highly recommend it.

I went looking for a simple tool to make circles and found this lovely item. It has made drawing circle guidelines a snap. It is a time saver. Easy to figure out how to use it. And the price was very reasonable. Five Stars If you are looking to make Mandala circles and need an inexpensive tool, this will work great for you.

Works well, I would buy another one

I love this ruler. I broke my old one and had to purchase another one. I started using this ruler when it was recommended by a calligrapher. It's accurate as well.

I originally was interested in this to create perfect circles for my artwork without the use of a compass with a needle potentially making holes or dents in the paper. Even a small dent or impression can then be highlighted out and made really distracting if you plan on coloring over the area later, especially with colored pencils. If you want to avoid this effect, you either need to get really good at drawing circles or find a tool like this! I tried a couple other similar tools and this was my favorite by far. It is easy to spin and stays put well without needing a ton of pressure to hold the middle down. I just use my finger but you could also use the eraser side of a pencil or a chopstick as well. The inner templates and markings along the edge are also more useful than I expected. I didn’t think even consider them when I first purchased this, but now I use them often!

This ruler is certainly well designed. It will meet my needs well IF I treat it with care. It is flimsy. It would break easily. The cheap construction is inexcusable. I cannot imagine this being adequate for any school work, at any level. I would not give one of these to a child at all. It simply won't last long. I bought this for a quick measuring tool, and it will serve that function. I won't be using it frequently or for anything that might put pressure on it. Even so, I am very disappointed with the quality. Why be so cheap when making such a well designed product?

This sure beats having to use a compass for simple things. Art and craft projects move smoothly along.

Coming from a graphic designer, this is one of the best circle makers available. It features a simple, straightforward design. Compasses are great, but sometimes you need something quicker. Also, a compass can’t create the small circles that the stencil on this ruler can. I’ve tried many so called “top of the line” circle makers out there — but they all prove gimmicky (at best). Maped brand is the way to go. The only thing I would improve on is the flimsiness. This baby could snap right in half if you’re not careful. Wish they made one in stainless steel. Overall, great purchase.

Ordered this based on reviews by artists whom I respect. Being purely objective, it does what it is intended to do and does that well. However and as the pictures will show, it arrived with a distinct curvature in the middle. That is because it is plastic and very light and the curve is a result of the Centre placement of the pivot. That said, it does work very well and repeat circles seem to be accurate. It’s easy to use and I’m sure I will use it extensively. My only complaint is that I think it’s overpriced!
