Review: Rather Well Done - Considering the film was based on the manga (ran from 1988 to 1995) and was condensed (as always) for anime form (See: Parasyte: The Maxim) (2014 to 2015) the adaptation does seem sound to me. WHOLE lots of ground to cram down and pare out in order to reach film run times. There have been changes (some slight for direction... ie: Shinichi's dad isn't in the film unlike the anime) but overall I found it to be a very enjoyable experience. Like the anime, the story has been broken up into (2) films. In this set (right for the money if you ask me) you get both and a digital code (as well as standard DVD for sharing! YAY!). Took me a bit used to getting used to Shota Sometani as Shinichi... then again you have to expect the real life to differ from the anime / manga (Still love though the spot on of Light Yagami being played by Tatsuya Fujiwara... who was also in both Battle Royal movies). So this is my 5 minutes of fame. Love it or hate it... it's up to you but personally... I REALLY liked the hell out of it! (Sadao Abe voiced Migi in the movie... and he did an awesome job!)
