I enjoyed the on-going story of Ken and Jack Norton. I like Marigold “Mari” and her commitment to her “sisters”. The romance, action and adventure were good as was the flow of the story. Highly recommend any of Ms Feehan’s series! No cliffhangers and each story could be read as a standalone—but why would you when the characters keep developing, like a soap opera, as does the storyline.

This is Ken Norton's story and its oh so good. I would be prepared for violence, darker storyline and it has triggers. Personally I loved the storyline, Feehan gives a real glimpse on Whitney's crazy character. In prior books Whitney is only spoken off, except book one but Feehan shows him in a different lite in this book compared yto book one. I am so happy to see Ken get his HEA. This is the fifth or sixth time Reading this story and each time it gets better. Happy Reading!!

THE STORY: Ken Norton is a GhostWalker, one of the genetically enhanced psychic soldiers. Ken and his twin brother Jack are a sniper team. Ken was horribly disfigured when he was captured in South America. Although for most of their lives, Ken was the easygoing twin, his torture has ripped off his mask and Ken fears that he is becoming a monster. Ken and his brother are searching for Jack's wife's twin sister who has been kept under the control of Dr. Whitney. When Ken and Marigold Smith meet, they worlds are turned around. Mari has been trained as a soldier since childhood. When Whitney begins pairing the women GhostWalkers with men to be used as breeding experiments, the women decide to escape. Mari doesn't trust Ken in spite of or because of their attraction, but the two are forced into close connection which challenges both Mari and Ken. OPINION: This was a difficult book for me to get engrossed in because the main characters are incredibly closed off. As they begin to open up to one another, however, I became transfixed by the story and couldn't put the book down. These are dark characters with sad pasts and a lonely present. I loved how they manage to find joy with one another even as they are guarded and afraid of the effect they have on one another. The overarching story and conspiracy is further revealed and a big disclosure is presented for longtime readers. There is definite progress being made on the overall story. Fans of CONSPIRACY GAME will be pleased to get what amounts to a partner book as Jack and Briony get important roles here and this book feels like a true resolution of CONSPIRACY GAME. WORTH MENTIONING: Fans of CONSPIRACY GAME should read this book. FINAL DECISION: This book was a little difficult for me to get into because of the hardness of the characters. However, as the characters reveal themselves to one another, I became more interested in the story and finally really loved the book. CONNECTED BOOKS: DEADLY GAME is the fifth book in the GhostWalkers series and is most closely connected with CONSPIRACY GAME. STAR RATING: I give this book 4.25 stars.

Christin Feehan is a wonderful author. Her "Game" series is very imaginative and the suspense keeps you reading long after you planned to stop. If you haven't read any of the earlier books in the series, it would be helpful if you looked for earlier ones before reading this one. At least read #4 - "Conspiracy Game", which is about Jack Norton, the twin brother of the hero of "Deadly Game", Ken Norton. I don't like reading books out of order, so I would recommend you begin with the first book in the series, "Night Game" and then go on to "Mind Game" and "Shadow Game" before reading the last two. The earlier books provide background information on the Ghostwalkers and help explain how they can do the things they do. Feehan is very adept at keeping your interest, and unlike other long series, I've never been bored or felt that she should end it. One of the most different and unusual paranormals I've ever read. Great romances and lots of steamy sex as well.

Christine Feehan has done it again, and I admitt I am amazed at her ability to make the Game books better and better. This one is no exception and takes up where CONSPIRACY GAME left off. Ken Norton is the twin brother of Jack Norton they are members of the elite Ghostwalkers, both are matchless snipers. Jack has settled down with Briony and now Ken encounters Marigold, Briony's twin sister, on a mission. He captures her and intends to bring her to Briony. However, alot of things began to go wrong and they realize there are many plots by DR Whitney that they have to overcome. Mari is trying to reach a Senator to tell him of the inhumanity paracticed by Dr Whitney. She is captured by Ken and finds herself drawn to the hard, scarred man who is determined to find Whitney and protect her. The scars over all of Ken's body do not in any way repulse Mari. She finds him strangely compelling. But she must return to her sisters, they are being forced to mate with the animalistic men whitney chooses for them. It seems that Whitney has alot of powerful friends and Ken and Jack are determined to find his compound and rescue the other women held there. The fight that Ken has to put up with himself is almost as great as the attraction he has for Mari. Two strong willed people fighting for the right to make their own choices. At least now we know Whitney is alive and he is planning something major, what we do not know. I couldn't put this one down, the action is non stop and the fighting is very well written. You can feel each punch and really adds to the feeling of reality. The romance is hot and heavy and the depth of these characters is what makes this book so appealing. That is what I think so I encourage you not to miss this one.

I liked the characters for the most part, although Ken kind of turned out to be a little bit scary in the bedroom. Still haven't decided if I liked that turn of events. But, the plot was great and I love it when previous characters pop up because I'm still invested mentally in all of them as a family type group. The battle they're in requires them to stick together. The storyline of Ken and Mari was interesting, exciting, very intense, and heartbreaking. I have a complaint though. Am I the only one confused by the lack of concern in the story and characters about who the traitor in their midst is? It just seems strange that it's mentioned when there's an attack, yet the story never even tries to ponder who it might be. I love how Whitney just gets crazier to the point where the reader wonders why he hasn't imploded. Lots of action and drama. I hope some answers to important parts of the plot get answered at some point. They seem kind if important to me.

I saw this website that gave some pointers on how to review so, I’m going to try that. Honestly, I don’t like doing it, it feels very impersonal to me but, maybe you, my followers and fellow book lovers might like it so, I would love some feedback. The cover is nice but not something that would really grab my attention if I didn’t know what the series is about. If it was just a stand alone and I didn’t know the author, it isn’t really all the eye catching in my opinion. The book seemed to be properly formatted and edited, although there were two or three typos that an editor might have just skimmed over. The writing of the author really makes the story come alive, I can see what’s happening in my head. The pace of the story stayed in sync with the plot, it moved along nicely, although there was a bit too much action and not enough romance for me. Ken is a very easy character to connect with but Mari, not so much. It’s not that she’s fighting the attraction, no she accepts that after a bit but it just seems like she wasn’t written right. Maybe it’s because the author tried to make her so opposite of her sister? **Spoiler** Finally seeing Dr. Peter Whitney is an added bonus, he’s been built up to be this mad scientist and he is, don’t get me wrong but he’s very creepy, and I thought it made for a better story. **End Spoiler** I would recommend this for those who love an alpha sniper with some background and emotional issues and a female solider afraid of her own feelings for those paranormal romance lovers.

Auch dieses Buch der Serie hat mich nicht enttäuscht. Es gibt zwar keine neuen Erkenntnisse bezüglich der Hintergrundgeschichte. Aber die Geschichte ist spannend und die Liebesgeschichte herzerwärmend.

My favorite author. Love all of her books.

This is a series that I save, so this was a re-read for me, you know, when you read a series over and over because you enjoyed it. 👍😁

even though this series is about gen mod humans / assasins i still class it as a para/rom type book. this one in particular waa fantastic, all the reviewers have told you the story. ken is kidnapped and cut to pieces everywhere he has lost sensation in his body. comes along mari the orphan kidnapped gen mod hum and explosions are happpening. its an emotional sexy hot action packed series. excellent page count. great story lines, they all co incide. really fantastic.

I love the ghost walker series, every book is so different yet totally amazing. I recommend this series highly as well as all Christine Feehans other books, she's such an amazing author.
