Pacific Rim Uprising [Blu-ray]

I bought this one and the first one together on Blu-ray, been meaning to for quite a while. Feels good to have them both in my Blu-ray collection, as an OG guy who loves big robot types and even bigger Kaiju, I had to finally get these movies. Highly recommend them both, there are a lot of fun!

Good movie but I expected more from the plot.

Not as good as the first. It panders to the young mind set that want a quick flashy scenes instead of a indepth story line.

Action packed it was great

I gave 3 stars because of the subtitle problem when renting this. At first I thought it was normal, some movies will do that. Then I realized, this was not that type of situation. I tried looking up what they said, nothing, and the responses characters were saying in the story didn't make sense. Meaning, there was supposed to be subtitles of some sort, but Amazon failed to do so. I watched this on my PS5, no subtitles. I then tried my computer after the movie to see if there was a difference, there wasn't. I watched it with English subtitles (which I normally do when watching movies), I also tried switching it off. No luck. BUT...I found a work around this! Which is unfortunate that I found this AFTER I watched the movie. Anyway, if you go to turn on "subtitles", under "audio," you have the options of "English" or "English Audio Description." Select "English Audio Description." This will then have a male narrator (I'm guessing meant for those that are blind) TELLING you what they are saying. It will still not show in the subtitles, you will have to listen to his voice, as he is also explaining what is happening in the scenes.MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS:As far as the movie goes, it was fine. What I was expecting. Action, robots, monsters, stuff from the first movie. As a parent, the only red flags I found (if I wanted to watch this with my kids), were, there were a few swear words, not much. I didn't hear any F ones. The only thing "sexual" was a girl on a bike or something next to a pool in the beginning wearing a bikini, and had some side boob. Then later towards the end-ish of the movie, one of the female characters falls on top of a male character (not meant to be in a sexualized way, but could be taken that way. They fell from the action sequence). They are there for at least 10+ seconds. Also, at the beginning, he's in a club, after, you see alcohol bottles floating in the pool, right before they show the bikini girl. Other than that, I don't remember any other drug/drinking scenes that I can remember. But, of course, every parent is different on what they are ok with their kids watching, I was just giving a heads up. Of course there is violence, and monsters getting sliced up and such with blue blood from them. There may be frightening scenes, if your child is sensitive with that sort of thing. If they ever watched Godzilla and was fine, they will probably be fine with this movie. Hope this helps.

The movie "Pacific Rim Uprising" delivers the same exhilarating "rock-em sock-em" feel as its predecessor, making it a highly enjoyable watch for fans of giant robots and epic battles. The film picks up ten years after the original, featuring John Boyega as Jake Pentecost, who brings charisma and energy to the role. The action sequences are well-executed, and the visuals are impressive, capturing the essence of the franchise.However, like many sequels, it does suffer from what I like to call the "sequel curse." While it maintains the excitement, it occasionally feels like it’s trying too hard to replicate the magic of the first film without fully exploring new themes or character development.Overall, "Pacific Rim Uprising" is a fun ride that keeps the spirit of the original alive while introducing new elements. It may not reach the same heights as its predecessor, but it's definitely worth watching for a good time!

Good movie. I love movies and I really enjoy 3D movies.I have a good home theatre that can read 3D signals.So, for those of you who enjoy either 3D or 2D and like the Pacific Rim franchise, this is a good buy.

Ganz großen Dank an Universal zuerst. Wir, als deutsches Publikum werden von Universal Pictures endlich ernst genommen. Vielen, vielen Dank und das ist der einzig richtige Weg.Es ist und bleibt kompletter Unsinn, dass Dolby Atmos Tracks nicht auf normale Blu-Ray Disks passen. Das beweist diese Veröffentlichung eindrucksvoll, haben wir hier doch eine englische und eine deutsche Atmos Spur drauf, in True HD, mit bis zu 4,3 Mbit/s und eine Bilddatenrate von bis zu 33 Mbit/s was zwar nicht rekordverdächtig ist, aber sehr gut.Vielen Dank Universal Pictures, ihr macht alles richtig. Vielen Dank dafür!!!Der Film ist nur für Godzilla und Große Roboter Fans und für diese mehr als befriedigend. Das macht echt Spaß den Film zu sehen. Viele bezeichnen das als 'Trash' aber das ist es nicht. Wenn jemand wie ich, seit seinem 12ten Geburtstag Godzilla guckt, dann ist das eine Prägung und dann macht dieser Film absolut Spaß. Das verstehe ich, kann nicht jeder verstehen aber ist so für die Personen, die die ikonischen Elemente eines solchen Films lieben.Ich kann durchaus verstehen, dass die nicht für jede/n gilt aber für uns, die Kaiju - Monster - nach japanischer Interpretation lieben, ist dieser Film reiner Spaß und Freude. Ich kann aber verstehen, dass viele das nicht so sehen.Abseits davon, habe ich mich sehr gefreut, dass John Boyega endlich den Raum bekommen hat, seine schauspielerischen Leistungen zeigen zu können und voll überzeugen zu können. Seine komödiantischen Fähigkeiten scheinen auch durch und können sich hoffentlich in Zukunft voll entwickeln.Für mich ein wundervoller Film und von Universal in der einzig wahren Form veröffentlicht, die der deutsche Markt verdient.Aber, es gibt auch ein paar Schattenseiten, was das Bild angeht, denn große Strecken haben sichtbares Rauschen und sogar Farbrauschen, was ich so nicht erwartet hätte. Das habe ich an den 'sauberen' Bildern, meist die mit CGI, sehen können, da ist dann teilweise kein Rauschen.Bei ******* Sterne, gebe ich einen Abzug und komme immer noch auf ***** Sterne.Danke Universal und das kann ich nicht oft genug erwähnen.

No sé qué película les habrán mandado a otras personas, pero la acabo de adquirir por menos de $290 y la calidad tanto de sonido como de video es excelente, si tienen un buen teatro en casa, es una compra obligada!Además para los que les guste ese tipo de cosas, viene doblada al español (que trae mucha menor calidad que en inglés con su Dolby Atmos, cómo es ya lo normal) y los subtítulos TAMBIÉN están en español, mi reproductor es un Xbox One X.

Buen a película a buen precio, en Atmos se escucha increíble, la entrega antes de lo señalado.saludos.
