The Roshield box provides a secure container for the poison blocks, making it very difficult for the rodent to remove the bait and greatly reducing the likelihood of a significant quantity of the poison being picked up by other animals, provided that the instructions are followed. A simple but effective locking system prevents the box from being opened by unauthorised persons or dogs. The red bait blocks are effective once the rodent has accepted the setup which can take a few days. I have always found this system to be effective against rats. I always continue to bait the box until no more is taken for a week, then check monthly. Rats are never far away and will revisit old runs in their constant search for food. I recommend this Roshield kit without any reservation. Unchecked rat populations are a serious threat to health.

Good quality product, affordable and as described

Very impressed with this product definitely recommend.Had a problem under our play house last summer . Only saw one rat coming and going under the house . Got council out £30 they used the same bait boxes and they took it straight away and didn’t see anything after that . Then this summer seen another small rat which looked like a young one . So decided to buy our own boxes £16.99 so I can keep them out and hopefully keep them from breeding . Wednesday night put the bait boxes out . Thursday more found the rat dead on the wall . So very quick . Well impressed and gives me peace of mind has this rat was coming out into the garden when the grandchildren were playing 🙈. ( ours weren’t pre loaded so advice to get some strong gloves to handle the bait .

Spotted that next doors yard had a few cheeky visitors and knew before long they’d come in to mine ( the joy of terraced housing that backs on to a train line). Set the neighbours up with two traditional snap traps but wanted to ensure that my yard was also a danger zone. Delivery was rapid and the boxes are easy to set up - I got two of the large bait boxes and had to thread the wax bait on to the metal rod. Wear gloves - don’t risk it!!! Chucked a few Cheerios in to the entrance area of the box just for good measure… Set up in the yard, one along the wall near my gate, the obvious spot for the rats to enter and placed a brick on top for sturdiness. The other I’ve placed near waste water drains with another brick on top. It took two days to see action. Next doors visitors spotted coming in under the gate (as suspected) and straight in to the box. Even spotted one run out with a large chunk of pink poison in its gob. Will probably have to wait a couple of days to see if we have any corpses but it’s done what I needed it to. Will rebait the box with the extra wax cakes when I check in a couple of days. Fingers crossed 💪

The boxes themselves are good, but unfortunately nothing is interested in the poison, I left it out for over 3 weeks. I ended up buying a different make of poison and they happily ate that.
