Review: Works great! Read instructions first about parts - Works as advertised to control an electric water heater. I tried this as the water heater is inconvenient to get to and remote control seemed like a great option. So far the scheduling has worked perfectly. Connecting to wifi was a bit confusing as it didn't appear to be added on the app, but attempting to add it again gave an error. When I backed out a screen it was indeed already there. Connected easily to Alexa and it can turn it off and on without having to open the app. I had a challenge physically installing it as I used 3/4" BX and connectors, and had difficulty finding the grounding lug connectors it says are required. 1/2" grounding connectors I found at my local hardware store but I had to order the 3/4" ones - go figure. They were a tight fit-recommend going with 1/2" if you can.

I bought this timer to automate and control my outdoor sprinkler pump. I have two zones that I wanted to water three times a week. I needed a total of 12 scheduled timer events. Six to turn the sprinkler pump on and six to turn the sprinkler pump off. The app on my phone made setting all these events very easy. I had previously been using an Intermatic analog timer, and I never could tell which day the pointer was pointing to or if it was going to be turning on or off. When the clock function stopped working on the Intermatic, I decided rather than replacing the time clock in the unit I would just replace the entire unit. I am so glad I did. It’s such a pleasure to not have to go out to my pump every time I want to turn my sprinklers on or off manually. Also, I connected it to my Alexa app and that works seamlessly as well. Installation was straightforward. The Wi-Fi hook up went very well and so far I’m very pleased with my purchase.
