works great, just remember to remove the hard foam pieces from under the build plate
works great, just remember to remove the hard foam pieces from under the build plate before using, make sure the belts are tensioned correctly, also orca slicer seems to default the sv06 ace to 300mmx300mm build area which needs to be changed

Pretty rubbish quality just stopped working eith known issues
I had to return after some time, support is good but they had to ship stuff from china as it was defective with known issues relating to hot end and the temperature sensors, wouldn't recommend. It is also very noisy especially the fans so you need to think about it as it and invest in an enclosure for it.

Not Worth the Hassle – Too Many Issues for the Price
I was really excited to try the Sovol SV06 Ace, especially with its direct drive extruder, auto bed leveling, and all-metal hotend. For the price, it seemed like a great upgrade over other budget 3D printers. Unfortunately, my experience has been more frustrating than rewarding. The Good: Assembly was actually quite easy, which was a nice surprise. The printer comes mostly pre-assembled, and I had it put together quickly. The frame feels solid, and the dual Z-axis should, in theory, help with print consistency. The direct drive system also seems like a great addition—when it works. The Bad: Despite the promising specs, print quality has been very inconsistent. I’ve had endless issues with poor first-layer adhesion, inconsistent extrusion, and clogs. Even after extensive calibration, prints sometimes fail for no clear reason. The auto bed leveling is nice in theory, but I’ve found it unreliable, often needing manual adjustments anyway. Another big issue is the firmware and UI. The touchscreen feels sluggish, and I’ve had freezing issues where I had to restart the printer. There are also some strange quirks in the firmware that make navigation clunky. Given that Sovol is marketing this as a more premium option, I expected a smoother and more polished experience. Support and Community Issues: I reached out to Sovol’s customer support, and response times were slow. When I did get answers, they weren’t particularly helpful. The community support isn’t as strong as other brands like Creality or Prusa, so troubleshooting takes longer unless you’re already experienced with 3D printing. Final Verdict: For the price, I expected a reliable, user-friendly printer that worked well out of the box with minimal tweaking. Instead, I’ve spent more time troubleshooting than printing. If you love tinkering and don’t mind fixing issues constantly, you might be able to make it work. But if you want something reliable and consistent, there are better options out there. I ended up returning my unit

Great printer, great buy. REMOVE ALL THE FOAM UNDER THE PLATE!!
First things first -- there is a second foam block under the build plate!! If you experience layer shifting / hear grinding on the first few prints, double check you got ALL the foam out! Once you've done that, this printer *just works*. It hums along very nicely, providing accurate and fast prints. The only issues I've had with it so far have involved using really old filament, and support was quick to respond with helpful videos and guidance on cleaning the blockage. The printer itself is rather loud when running, but I would say it's quieter than my old Ender 3v2, and definitely quieter at idle. The included Wifi connectivity and Mainsail/Klipper interface are great, as well as working easily with Obico out-of-the-box. I would like the ability to plug in ethernet, but I understand how that would take up space and add cost for a feature not many would use. If I can run Ethernet to USB on the supplied ports, I would love to know! Regarding the extra USB, I added an old Logitech webcam to the printer and getting it to work was straightforward, so that was very nice. Great printer, great price, great buy.

Good but need software knowledge
Had difficulty to get it to work with OrcaSlicer software. The workaround configuration file was not user friendly.

My honest review 4 months after buying it
This printer is a pain. The first month it worked fine, zero errors, but after 10 or 12 projects, the cooler stopped working properly. I replaced it. A week after that, the nozzle clogged. I’ve cleaned it accordingly to their video tutorial. Now it’s displaying a message saying the webcam isn’t working and the extruder is not heating at the expected rate. This printer is a headache. I don’t recommend it for new users like myself. I was trying to start a hobby, and now I only have issues after issues.

Perfect beginner printer
This is a great, first time owner, 3D printer. The interface is easy to use and set up was fast. Customer support has also been fantastic throughout the time I have owned. Great place to start if looking for your first printer.
