Good shift knob for the price
Just installed this on my 2012 Mazda Speed 3, haven't been able to drive it yet but gave it some go through the gears and it feels good. It's got a good weight too it so throws feel nice, it's got a good smooth finish no sharp edges or any of that. It's somewhat stylish in a minimalist kind of way. The installation was simple, it came with 3 different sized threads the middle size matched my shifter perfectly. It screws down nice and snug. The only problem someone else might have is that the knob is fairly tall so if you have a short throw and like the feeling of your shifter being lower this will bring it up a bit. Overall it's a nice knob that doesn't cost a a fortune.

Huge improvement in shift feel on my GR86
I installed this on my GR86 and the difference was immediate. The shifts feel way more solid and controlled compared to stock. It almost feels like the shifter โfallsโ into gear instead of me having to force it in. The added weight really helps smooth out the 2ndโ3rd and 3rdโ4th shifts, especially during normal and spirited driving. It makes rev matching feel more forgiving too, since the transition between gears is less harsh. Install was super easy. Just unscrew the factory knob, and thread this one on. It comes with adapters so fitment wasnโt an issue at all. Only small note is that you can see a bit more of the shift lever underneath depending on your setup, but it doesnโt affect anything functionally. Overall, this is one of those cheap mods that actually changes how the car feels to drive. If youโre on the fence, itโs worth it.

The Perfect Shift Knob!
I absolutely love this shift knob. I put it on my 1990 Miata Track car and not only does it fit well but it makes driving and shifting a joyous experience. There's just no comparison to the stock shift knob or the cheaper imitations. The weight of the Mishimoto is just right and it causes the shifts to feel confident and accurate. Also, it's large enough to where you can find it without looking at it but small enough to where it's not bumping against your dashboard. -Great feel for a smooth transition from wheel to shifter. -Weight is just right for accurate and smooth shifts. -Looks amazing! I got the black and if anything, it makes the rest of the car look bad! You won't be disappointed with this shift knob. When you factor in the plethora of adapters which come with it on top of its perfect feel, you should have no problems fitting it to your car so you can get back to driving.

Scratched during shipment
It came in the package slightly scratched and the Amazon bag was already opened, the shifter feels very smooth and heavy. The shifting into gears is smoother and the shifter looks cooler than my oem shift knob. Worth the 50$, but itโs the packaging needs more cushion so that it doesnโt damage the knobโฆ

Great, but doesnโt come with adapter for mazdaspeed 3
Absolutely great feel, got it for my 2011 mazdaspeed 3. WARNING I know thereโs a review for a speed3 but this kit does NOT come with an adapter for the car. A speed 3 uses an M10x1.25 and this kit only comes with an m10x1.5. You will have to order either their adapter kit that comes with 4 sizes or get a different adapter.

Simple, heavy, easy.
I got the black version, but with the polish on it, its more like a shiney gun metal. Very hefty weight and feels great. I hesitated and was going to give it 4 stars, but decided it doesn't affect usage. The inside of the knob, above where the threading ends, was extremely rusted right out of the box. It reminded me of how old exhaust piping looks after years of use. But, this doesn't affect the outside look and quality, so Im rating without that in mind. The only thing I wish I could change is the adapter length. My shaft doesn't have a lot of threading at the top, so it bottomed out and looks pretty tall. It's probably just due to it being on an automatic, but it would be nice to adjust the height. Yeah, weighted knob on an auto, its funny. But the OEM kob was rubbing off and the simple, clean look is very attractive. I exclusively use the "manual mode" when I drive, though, so I can tell you that you really do feel the weight of the knob when moving it around.

I love it
the shifter fit right into my subie with one of the adapters, the extra weight plus my perrin shift bearining and stopper makes the shifter feel AMAZING. I started with the bearing and shift stop then after a few months bought this and i do not regret the switch at all. The extra weight adds smoothness to the shifts and i find the longer shifter much more fun to play with. I have two concerns and one is not necessarily bad. 1. the shifter is stanced slightly higher than normal, i have the sti short throw so it was still somewhat low but it will raise the height a decent amount unless you made other modifications to your shifter. 2. in the heat, this shifter gets hot. very hot. i grabbed it full fist in 103 degree weather and oof did that hurt so proceede w caution in the heat, givin my black interior the car gets very hot. def recommend the price is also very low compared to other aftermarket shifters

Stands tall without modifications...also gets warm in sun...
Just to be clear I am happy with the shifter at this point. It could be a little lower, but oh well. However, getting to this point was a bit more work than I really wanted it to be. It is nice and heavy and seems to help with slightly smoother shifting albeit a bit longer due to the height...ah the height. I was replacing the OEM shift knob on my '08 Mazda 3 hatchback whose leather finally just disintegrated this summer (I mean 11years and 2 owners...not bad). The size adapters that came with the knob work fine for the 3 EXCEPT they do not go far onto the threaded part of the shifter... maybe a 1/3". This might be ok IF they screwed further into the knob itself but they most certainly do not. So your starting point (sorry I did not take pictures), feels like your shift knob is about 4 feet tall and you're driving an old Jeep Wrangler or something. Not to mention your shift boot is sitting where it normally does making your shifter look like some skinny-legged flamingo. With enough work (and tools) and caution, you can re-thread the adapter using your shifter to get it to sit at/towards the bottom of the threads. Even like this, there will still be a gap between the shift boot and the new knob so you'll more than likely need to get in there with some zip ties on the inside of the boot to raise where it normally sits. It still feels a bit higher than the stock knob but looks better than when first installed. A short shifter would probably get this right where it needs to be, but honestly not worth it in a car this age. Of Note: It looks good, it is heavy and its made of metal. It gets hot in the sun in the summer. Not burning hot, but certainly slightly uncomfortable to hold onto hot.

Excellent feel and quality
I bought a different shift knob earlier though Amazon and it was not good so I returned that and got this one. This product is excellent. It has good weight to it making my shifts alot smoother and feels more solid. It is as many reviews have stated taller than that I am used to. Essentially making it a long throw shifter but surprising I don't mind it. I just hope next revision they make the height adjustable for people who prefer it to be shorter. But that being said I think this being taller actually made my shift more accurate and smoother. I would definately recommend this product. Goes well with the shift boot I also bought from Amazon.
