Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love the power options, solid locking mechanism, and small profile. I'm so-so on the battery strap, but I can see it being useful depending on what your shooting. I do a lot of adventure doc filmmaking, and sometimes things get rough and tumble, so having the safety backup is nice. The strap works great for mini v-mount batteries, but may not play nicely with standard size v-mount batteries, even thought the plate can accommodate them fine.

A really pleasantly surprising add to the rig. The previous model had some unnecessary bulk (which this trims off nicely) and mounts the battery vertically (old model laid it flat) saving space and balancing my rig quite a bit better. Unify your power supply with this clean and massively-improved bit of kit.

Great piece of equipment

This feels like it will last, solid piece of kit. This fits on rails behind my mirrorless camera for video production, and powers the Sony FX3 through the USB-C connector. Also powers a 5" monitor through the P-Tap and I can swap that out for a Gratical HD viewfinder connected to the 2-pin Lemo. So, very versatile. The V-mount batteries snap in place nicely. I'm confident in this plate.
