My wife and I have been upgrading my 1/2 inch cube collection to the full 1 inch size. We'll do this for all cubes that are practical and affordable, and this one is an excellent example of fitting both of those criteria. They are just as nicely made as the small ones. Clean edges, very readable print, and nicely packaged. It is nice to physically hold and feel the weight of an element. Knowledge is power and identifying an element and its characteristics is a great brain exercise. If you aren't into all that, they are super collectable and make great desk toys (for adults). I cherish this and am happy it is in my collection.

I am no metallurgist so I can't say whether or not this is pure or whatever, but as a cool little desk ornament/collection I think it's really neat. It is quite weighty so I have no reason to not believe that it is real lead. The laser engraving is extremely well done, all the text is very clear and readable, even through the acrylic case which is satisfyingly perfectly sized. This would make for a great teachers aid or decoration. I picked it up just because I am a nerd and am interested in collecting the periodic table.

This is a neat little item, assuming that is actually 99.99% lead. It's pretty heavy at least. The lead cube comes sealed in a plastic bag, which is good, I won't be taking mine out of the bag any time soon if ever. But the reason it gets 1 star is a severe disregard for safety. Not only does it come with zero safety instructions, the product description on amazon says it is "non-toxic" and "suitable for both young and old" which is the exact opposite of the truth when it comes to lead. If you buy this, please do the proper research on how to handle and store lead. This would be a 5 star product if they had proper safety information.

While specified as 25.4 (+/-0.1) mm (1 +/- .004 inches) per side, mine measured a hair under 25mm in all directions, which clearly doesn't meet the spec. The listing also has some pretty inaccurate information in it, stating that this is "non-toxic", "safe", and "not easily deformed", none of which are true for lead. That said, if you are getting elemental lead to display/collect, you likely know all this already. On the plus side, it does come in a little clear plastic box that both protects it from damage and protects you from lead exposure. If you handle it outside of the box, wash your hands before you eat (something you should do anyway). There’s not much to say about this item—it’s exactly as described. It’s quite literally a lead cube with the periodic information etched onto it. It comes in a plastic or possibly acrylic display case, which helps limit any potential harmful effects from handling unless you choose to remove it from the case. While I can’t confirm with 100% certainty that the cube is actually lead or verify its purity since I don’t have the equipment to test it, the object feels very dense and appears to be machined from a larger piece. Regardless, it makes for a solid display piece and is a great addition to any collection.

Although I ordered the lead cube, I was sent a titanium cube by mistake. It's a very nice product, precisely cut and nicely engraved with details. However, I wanted the lead element cube for my collection. Still a good quality product.

This Lead density cube couldn't be better. Yes, it's actually lead. It feels heavy, like I would expect, and it writes on paper. I've had other density cubes that just come in a box but this one came in with a protective plastic, fitted square capsule! I wish my other density cubes came like this one. The edges and corners are very sharp on these cubes. The element information engraving is clear and sharp. This is a highly recommended addition to anybody teaching science concepts.
