Simple toy, but my bird enjoys it.
My bird is not a pro at the levers yet, but she does enjoy shaking it to get small seeds and things down. She learned how to use it pretty quickly and I also noticed her placing other treats in the bottom tray for safe keeping. I will need to rotate it out soon to keep it novel. Overall no complaints. It does only fit small treats and I would not put wet or stick things inside because I don't think it can be cleaned.

While I do not like having to do this
My mid-sized bird absolutely loves this foraging toy. When it first arrived, I had to show him how to work the tabs. After two lessons, he got the idea. Often he will bang the toy on the side of the cage to make the nuts fall through the holes instead of pulling/pushing the tabs. Only small bits of nuts can fall through the holes, which is a negative as it does take time to break up nuts. Sometimes purchased pre-cut nuts have to be broken in order for them to fit through the holes. While I do not like having to do this, my bird gets very excited when he sees me placing something in the top cup. Items have to be placed in the top cup and work their way down to the bottom where the bird can get to them . Small bits of food can be placed in the bottom two openings as a way of encouraging the bird to use the toy. I would recommend this foraging item only for medium and large sized birds as I do not feel small birds could work the toy.

loved it
My Sun conure loves this and so do I. It's easy to load in food or treats and the bottom opening is large enough that she can get the food once it falls. I also love that it doesn't have to be completely full be for her to be able to get out food. The only reason I gave it a four is that the holes are so small I can only use pellets or small treats like seeds. Larger things like dried fruit gets stuck or prevents other foods from moving down. Otherwise, I loved it.

Well made, but it's too esay to cheat...!
My conure took quite a while to get over the usual foreign-object fear, as expected. She poked her head in to the bottom chamber a couple of times, emptied it out, then gave up. She progressed, learned to start pulling on the planks to cause more (nutri berry crumbs) to fall down. I don't think she's actually learned to pull planks one direction or another... She just shakes it, empties the whole thing out! The return window is way past closed so I might dismantle it, try to make it more difficult for her to empty out. Maybe thicken up the planks so they can't be slid in or out as easily, or make the dividers in between each chamber taller. Even just when filling the toy up, with the plank openings closed off on a given side, you will always end up with treats falling all the way down... The review sounds a lot more negative than I meant it to, I appreciate the fact that it has not taken ANY damage, has not gotten gnawed on like other cheaper toys. I do just have a tiny 70g Conure but she is capable of destroying cheap, imported toys.

IMO, miserable failure of a toy!
This thing...how I hate this thing. I paid good money for it, too. The major problem with it is that you can't find a treat that will flow properly through the tiers. Either it's too big/oddly shaped/stared at the toy wrong and it won't fall through, or it falls through too easily and just falls right to the bottom, negating the whole point of getting the bird to work for the toy. It's not enough that you find a treat that's smaller than the hole. Even treats that are smaller than the hole I find most often do not make it through to the second or bottom tier. I don't even know how that happens. But if you make it even just a little bit smaller than the toy requires, it will sail straight through all three tiers without any effort on the bird's part. I also tried this toy on three separate birds, and not one was even remotely curious about it. It's just not appealing to them. I might donate mine to a bird rescue I know, just to get it out of my house.

Great size for a conure
Our little conure jiggles this thing by the blue sliders like a little wood pecker to get all the treats out. It may be one of her favorite toys but shes got it pretty figured out. We use it for her seed treats but you have to be careful as it likes to get plugged if something is odd shaped or you have circular pellets like in the kaytee mix (its her junk treat mix and NOT primary diet). Good to keep her busy

Engaging but not really easy to use.
Your bird must be adept at using foraging toys to master this. My DYH can and does use it, but it takes a lot more work to get her food than the other foraging toys, so it gets used last. Also, the passages between the chambers is quite small, so small pellets or seeds are really all one can use. It's difficult to take apart, so I'd definitely not use anything that would spoil or cake the inside. The major plus to this toy is that it's very time consuming. If you have a bird that will focus on one toy and not bore quickly when instant gratification isn't achieved, then this is a toy for you. It's complex so it requires your bird to think, and that is a great thing. If the bird can get into it it can spend a lot of time using it. It's well-make and very durable. It will be part of our toy rotation for a very long time.

Is It Worth It? (Mes Oiseaux)
I use this for my birds main food bowl. They eat pellets along with various fruits and veggies. The item works great for pellets. I cannot say my birds have the toy all the way figured out though as they do not move the blue separators but rather jiggle the toy until something falls down :), or bang the toy against the side of the cage. Either way it keeps them working for their food aka preoccupied. I only use pellets and dried veg for this toy and have not ran across too much issue with the food being stuck or problems cleaning. Great item for the purchase price and holds up well with my destructive birbs.

My African grey loves it, it’s solid and very playful.

This is a good toy where my African grey can occupy her mind working out how to get the treats from the top to the bottom, when the toy arrived I did however find that the top slide was out of line so the treats could not fall through but after striping it down and adjusting the slides it worked fine and the bird loves it.

Seems decent but my conures won't touch it. Big chickens. Good for a braver bird.

I like this! Unfortunately my birds have not learned how to use it yet. Quality is amazing, arrived quickly.
