An enjoyable entry
Don't get all the hate for this film. I mean, one guy has tried to say that Trolls 2 is a better film - seriously? That's some mad use of hyperbole there. Is it as good as Alien? No. As good as Aliens? No. But, what is? That's a high standard to hit. Now, I'm also a fan of Alien 3 and 4, for various reasons, but they are often seen as the weakest in the original franchise. I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of Prometheus or Covenant and the new lore they introduced and I'm unlikely to watch those two as often as I'll go back to the original 4. So, where does Romulus fit? For me, it's an enjoyable film. It's not perfect and not as good as the original two, but I think it's better than Prometheus and Covenant. I'd happily put this into the rotation alongside Alien 3 and 4. Alien and Aliens will always be the best, then 3, 4 and Romulus are pretty much tied in 3rd place for me. Then Covenant and, I'll watch Prometheus if I have to. There's lots of good about Romulus and personally I didn't mind the Ian Holm CGI recreation (didn't think it was perfect by any means, but it wasn't awful) though ethically it might cause some issues. The anti-grav battle is also a good bit of action that helps make Romulus worth watching. As for the 4K transfer and sound - all decent. Try to ignore the haters and give Romulus a chance - if you see Alien 3 as a butchered masterpiece and Alien 4 as a bit of fun, then you'll probably welcome Romulus into the franchise.

It's okay ! I guess .
Better than expected but not as good as it could have been! A forgettable cast that you don't get to know, of characters that are simply not likeable, only the synthetic gets a decent enough character and a chance to act . Fits well into the franchise , but it could have been so much more .

very good film from the Alien franchise
Excellent UHD disc. Very clear picture and sound quality. Definitely one of the better Alien films because Ridley Scott's touch is very evident. Script, visuals and acting are spot on. One Highlight using the late actor's ( Holme ) voice and android works very well.

Terrific value, magnificent movie.
Alien: Romulus is a terrific movie. Filled with the action and horror we all know and love from the Alien franchise. Also great cast and fantastic special effects. The 4K is a stunning presentation of this wonderful thriller. Amazon have slipped lately, making me wait an entire week to deliver this new title, actually not dispatching until 3 days after order, to meet the disappointing delivery estimate. I'm a Prime Member, but lately it's only for Prime Video. The One-Day deliveries have been shocking few and far between for me. But a brilliant addition to my collection. Plus great value from Fox/Disney, bundling both the 4K and regular Blu-ray disc together for only £10 more over the solo Blu-ray, meaning you get the 4K disc for an extra tenner. Can't go wrong with that. And also comes in a slip case, so you could sell off the Blu-ray for a smaller price to a mate and give them a sleeve with it of your choosing and recoup some cash on your 4K. Sweet. In space, you can hear me scream my love for this flick.

A welcome return to the original Alien movie.
I was not expecting yet another Alien sequel to be any good, but I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. It greatly helps if you have watched the original Alien movie, as one of the characters returns (no spoilers in my review though) It is beautifully shot with stunning spaceship interiors and the ever present doubt as to exactly what Weyland Yutani are really up to! One thing that I noticed is that it is rated a 15. This is very odd, considering previous Alien movies were rated 18 and this is EVERY bit as gory with the odd f word used as well! Recommended for all Alien fans.
